TYRESE CAMPBELL, the Stoke City striker who has been linked with Celtic, is attracting attention from England’s top flight.

The 20-year-old frontman, who is out of contract in June, has been targeted by Sheffield United.

Campbell further enhanced his reputation by scoring the only goal of the game as Michael O’Neill’s side overcame West Brom at the Hawthorns last night to pick up three much-needed Championship points.

He then limped off with a hamstring injury, but the Bramall Lane outfit are reported to be willing to pay a significant fee to sign him in this transfer window.

As they did with bringing in Moussa Dembele from Fulham in the summer of 2016, the Hoops could land the powerful youngster for a cut-price fee of around £350,000 in a cross-border compensation deal at the end of the campaign.

The England Under-20 international has become hot property and United boss Chris Wilder, speaking to the Daily Record, admitted: “I believe we will get one or two in definitely in the next week.

“As we all know it is a moving market.”
