By any measure, last night was tough on Juventus. A heroic performance at the Bernabeu to take a 0-3 lead, only to be denied by a soft penalty at the death. Juventus are the pin-up boys for cheating in football, Oldco Rangers failure to register second contracts pales into insignificance to what the team from Turin were doing over the same period.
As I watched the pains of injustice on the faces of Buffon and his teammates I wondered how they feel about the titles some of them still claim to have “won on the field.” Or, whether their perpetual fouling and gamesmanship against Celtic in 2013 even merits a memory.
I didn’t care either way who won last night but Juventus going out feeling cheated seems about right.

At what point are folk going to say “Enough” ?
Enough of looking for and finding the worst in others and start looking for and finding and reporting the best.
When are we going take a step back and look at the world fear has created and decide to change our minds where fear has its birthplace.
This applies to more than football but sticking strictly to football our game is where it now finds itself because in 2012 folk running it feared the worst instead of looking for and planning for the best.

The SFA have been treating Celtic supporters and shareholders like mugs since 2011 all the way through until Sept 2017.
It’s beginning to look like they are continuing to do so and there will never be a better opportunity to change the damaging culture that enables them to act without being accountable for such behaviour as currently exists.
There are people still there or at “Rangers” that have been disrespectful to Celtic as a member club as well as the rest of Scottish football. They are enabled by a compliant media.

Tontine I was only 8 in 1974 At Madrid match.
Were big Jock and wee Jinky issued with death threats. Remember something like that happened in Madrid.
*Yes they were not only that we had a police escort to and from the Stadium and were also told not to leave the dugout while AM staff and subs sat on a bench on the touchline.
6 AM players were banned for the 2nd leg but in reality only one would have been selected, ayal nicknamed the mouse but we called him the rat, he was sent of for a 2nd booking for catching the ball in mid air. The other 5 had no chance of playing in the 2nd leg so were sent out tae intimidate our players, one of those had played for Racing Club 7 years earlier.
UEFA as usual bottled it and while 6 players were suspended and AM were fined 14 grand they should have been turfed out of the completion.
3 weeks later I leaped out of my armchair when Schwarzenbeck equalised in the 120th minute just as it looked as if the cheats would win. 2 days later justice was done when a double each by Uli Hoenes and Der Bomber gave Bayern a well deserved victory.

Well what a fantastic feast of Euro football the past three days have been, BT cover this well and the Marseille game was a wonderful end to it.
