Injustice for the cheats, win two tickets for Sunday

379

By any measure, last night was tough on Juventus.  A heroic performance at the Bernabeu to take a 0-3 lead, only to be denied by a soft penalty at the death.  Juventus are the pin-up boys for cheating in football, Oldco Rangers failure to register second contracts pales into insignificance to what the team from Turin were doing over the same period.

As I watched the pains of injustice on the faces of Buffon and his teammates I wondered how they feel about the titles some of them still claim to have “won on the field.”  Or, whether their perpetual fouling and gamesmanship against Celtic in 2013 even merits a memory.

I didn’t care either way who won last night but Juventus going out feeling cheated seems about right.

    They were put down.

They were lucky. My mammy was rounding up a possee to find them and torture them, like they did to her grandson. The dugs would not survive like her grandson did.

Not like me to attempt prophesy but I have a gut feeling that our team will rise to the occasion on Sunday, move swiftly into a high gear and provide us with a feast of goals.

Sorry about the late reply mhate, was working, I never really had the groin pains your talking about more just general stiffness that eased up with the exercises I dutifully done, that is key. Your right about not getting any physio follow up, your papped out of hospital after 4 days with just exercise leaflets, but as I said I done them every day. There’s another guy in the work who had it done a year before me and he was back a couple of times for xrays with groin pains, his recovery took a bit longer than normal but he got there as well, you will too mhate.

    Hail Hail

  9. Celtic playing Hibs in Semi Final of youth cup tonight at Easter Rd.

Still 0.0 not long to go, both teams have hit the bar.

    Hail Hail

  10. I love dogs but pit bulls should never be allowed as pets. I lost count of the times I read about a tragedy involving them, the owners saying they were usually lovely around the kids! They can turn in a second.

  11. Celtic should wipe the floor with the huns on Sunday. But we have often been disappointed in cup competitions. Let’s hope Brendan sends the team out to score as many as possible.

  12. Look at the profiles of the owners of pit bulls. There is always a want about them. Deficient.

  13. The Exiled Tim,

You’ll remember back in the day before the Stonehaven bypass, when you got up the windy hill on the south side of Stonehaven, the road used to fork, i think and you could either go the coast road, or inland, and have to drive through Laurencekirk, Brecihin and Forfar before getting to Dundee.

Seem to remember the coast road was almost as quick, maybe a little quicker back in those days

Young Paddy has a point to prove after that last semi-final miss against them. I hope he gets the chance to do it.

  17. David 66,

If you have the chance of getting Physio, take it.

I had total hip replacement 6 years ago, and was lucky enough to be able to go private as i had healthcare through work. This also included as much Physio as I needed.

Exercise is important, but the right exercise is probably more important , so i would advise taking advantage of anyhthing you can get through work.

Take your time, and don’t push too hard. You’ll know when it’s time to stop and take a break.

ok next time i’m up.i worked in mecca betting shop opposite” the first n last” near the church and bus garage.

  19. Bateen Bhoy thanks I think I will access physio through work. It’s just doing my head in as I want to get back to work, but feel that 8 hours at work of this pain without lying flat for 30mins would be impossible. Don’t get me wrong I dont have a physical job thank feck or I would really be up shit creek. I will see how it is on Monday and if needs be call my health insurance for access to physio.

    Cheers guys

It split at Stonehaven, but the Bervie chipper only opened and got it’s reputation long after the dualer was built on the inland road, so the coast road was the long way.

It was owned by a bloke who in his yoof days was a bit of a hardman, loved a scrap, he also owned a joiners business in Bervie, there was rumours that the chipper got the reputation cos of a friend who was also a goat fiddler, a racing certainty if the truth be known.

  22. Apologies to Almore and WITS for the late reply but I’m finding it impossible to even lurk these days. Anyway after the last huns game there was some bother on Dame Street involving some bhoys. No more details available. The guards gave them a bit of grief about it so they said that they weren’t going to show the games anymore.

However it looks like a reprieve is on the cards and the game will be shown on Sunday. Won’t be around myself as I’m heading off to speak as Gaeilge with the family in the North -West.

Hail Hail and may we all have celebrations for lunch on Sunday.

The Bervie chipper cannae hold a candle to a number of chippy round the East Neuk of Fife. They are all excellent there. Fresh value for money produce.

You mentioned changing your moniker earlier.

    Macca66 is perfect.

  25. The Exiled Tim,

Didn’t realise the ‘Bervie Chipper was so recent, but when we used to go from Aberdeen on the Yogi Bear bus, we would always go the coast road. Don’t remember the chipper at that time, but given that those were the days that there was no problem with a kerry oot on the bus, many of the trips back up the road were more about getting as much beer down your neck before hitting the pubs in Aberdeen as they were about stopping anywhere for food ;-)

Where in Stonehaven did you live ? I have family who stayed up beside the Academy, near the Slug Road, and was a frequent visitor there.
