Injustice for the cheats, win two tickets for Sunday

379

By any measure, last night was tough on Juventus.  A heroic performance at the Bernabeu to take a 0-3 lead, only to be denied by a soft penalty at the death.  Juventus are the pin-up boys for cheating in football, Oldco Rangers failure to register second contracts pales into insignificance to what the team from Turin were doing over the same period.

As I watched the pains of injustice on the faces of Buffon and his teammates I wondered how they feel about the titles some of them still claim to have “won on the field.”  Or, whether their perpetual fouling and gamesmanship against Celtic in 2013 even merits a memory.

I didn’t care either way who won last night but Juventus going out feeling cheated seems about right.

Maybe we should give Lynsey a break.

She never stood a chance of being a good looking, decent human being with parents like she has.

Speaking of the insignificance of Rangers’ failure to register second contracts, here’s a short postscript to the LNS Commission, based on recently received original SPL Rules applying at the time: https://someoldhat.wordpress.com/2018/04/12/nimmo-smith-a-postscript/

    ======================

Very interesting and further reason why LNS Decision has to be set aside and not allowed to be a post script.

What might be delaying the SFA Compliance Officer completing his work is his finding that Rangers aversion to providing the SFA with information when it is clearly required by the rules, thus constituting a clear rule breach, has serious consequences concerning the fact finding phase of the LNS Commission itself.

Your findings on the consequences of not following up an electronic submission with the paper work challenge the terms of reference of the LNS Commission (and perhaps the Bryson interpretation?)

So too will the DELIBERATE non disclosure in May 2011 by RFC of an HMRC letter that enabled the SFA to submit later in May without questioning, a list of licences granted to UEFA that included RFC.

Given that the May 2011 HMRC letter refers to the De Boer side letter of 30 August, it would seem that neither the De Boer August side letter, nor the May HMRC letter were submitted to the SPL Lawyers Harper Macleod as a result of their letter dated 15 March 2012 to Duff and Phelps, as it was the date of the earliest side letter (23 Nov 2000 for Flo) that determined the dates LNS would cover.

This omission by Duff and Phelps is curious given that in a Points of Claim No 2003 of 2012 made on 1st March 2012, Duff and Phelps appear to be well acquainted with both side letters and the background to the HMRC pursuit of £2.8m overdue tax including when liability was accepted. (The same Duff and Phelps who are suing Police Scotland btw)

It is impossible not to conclude the LNS Commission was “knobbled” from the start and non disclosure when disclosure is absolutely required by the rules played a significant part in misleading the ToRs of Commission (apart from the consequences of the Supreme Court Decision on the lawfulness of ebts that would allow all clubs to use them).

in a court of law a retrial would be what natural justice demands, yet Scottish football seems to think it can operate outside of the law even where fraud has happened.

DD took a wee trip down Clydebank way yesterday and ended up in the boat for fish and chips. Lovely it was too, never been in it before, and not been down that way for about 25 years… So many happy memories…

A good guy from our supporters bus was attacked in Madrid in 1980 by Real supporting old fans. The wee man was beaten up and had a cigar stubbed out in his face. I have always been wary of folk fae Madrid since 1974 and 1980.

*a few years back a younger Ms TT was working in Madrid so we decided tae take a trip there, surprisingly we had never been tae Spain before. We did all the tourist things, Seville, Grenada and even Marrakesh but while in Madrid I wanted tae tour the Bernabeu, as we were on the on/off bus we passed a sign for the Estadio Vicente Calderón, Mrs TT pointed it out and asked if I was going there tae. I did the old Phil Collins “No Reply At All”. Incidentally the day we went was the day after Real signed Benzema.

    Abel Hernandez ?

At Palermo? — saw him ” in the flesh ” — a few times .Saw him more than a few times on tele . My addled ole bonce thinks Palermo paid around 3 million euros for him and sold him to Hull for around 12 million euros @ 5 years later.- I haven’t seen him playing since he moved to Hull..He often struggled to get a game at Palermo / he also had injury problems . Those things are probably connected. My memory thinks he was inconsistent / mercurial.. I also think he did better in Serie B than he did in Serie A. – It’s more than 3 years since I last saw him -I know nothing now.

When the warnings from the police are the biggest story before a derby, you know they’ve already thrown the towel in. Keep the head, get our best players onto the park and we could be aiming for an unbelievable doubletreble.

When the words “social unrest” were mouthed, by Regan, I think, he gave the green(?) light for all and any action to protect RFC.

It gave the followers of that club their guarantee that nothing would be done that would approach justice for their crimes,,,,and they were crimes.

Recent proof of this state of affairs was the unrestricted march to Ibrox to face the Fenians.

The same tactic was used last week in Belfast by David Trimble of UUP and GFA fame.

He accused the Irish Government of behaviour over the Border issue, of upsetting the loyalist paramilitaries.

  13. I have asked a few times but never had a reply as yet.

I was under the impression that yellow cards couldn’t be appealed, but recently Laferty and now Morelos have had their’s overturned.

When did this happen….or is it only for huns ? Embdy……

Bad precedent to set. First time I’ve heard of an appeal against a yellow being allowed, much less upheld.

For instance, there is a fee of £1000 applicable to appeal a red. No such fee applies for a yellow, because there is no process for it.

    M. Lafferty would his appeal too, for being given a yellow also for diving.

    Hail Hail

  17. Here’s other examples from website. I tried to find rules, maybe Embramike can assist, but it looks,as if you can appeal yellow for diving.

4 Nov 2016 … ABERDEEN have successfully appealed a yellow card shown to midfielder James Maddison for diving during the 3-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle last Saturday. The on-loan Norwich City youngster was … Can someone explain to me why I got booked for diving. Cuz I’m not 15 Dec 2016 .

.. Hearts winger Jamie Walker and Partick Thistle forward Ade Azeez have been cleared of diving after being booked last week. A Scottish FA disciplinary tribunal upheld their clubs’ appeals against their yellow cards. Azeez had been cautioned after going down under a challenge by Celtic goalkeeper Craig …

I would hazard a guess and say…. Aye it is only for Huns past and present. But now that it has been allowed we should take every opportunity to appeal every yellow on the grounds that the referees are dirty Hun Bassas
