Sorry but I thought we did ok today. I’ts nearly impossible playing against a team
who don’t want to play football. They have 2 moves, bring you down or boot it in the air.
The referee was as useless as expected and I thought Scott Brown was superb today
looked like a few players knew they were getting no protection and didn’t facy a trip to A&E.
They certainly didn’t play like that against th sheep midweek – highland current buns

Slight blip on the road to the treble.Won’t make any difference to the destination of the league. We seldom play that bad against anyone two weeks in a row especially the same team.I agree with earlier posts, think we’ll ease past them next week.
You know sometimes when we are faced with these kind of pitches,it would be nice to have an Adam Rooney type up front. All our one twos, inter passing too easily nullified by conditions.Get the ball out wide, crosses into the box.If I were Ronnie, thats the type of alternative I would be looking for.

Guidetti’s cameo appearance yet again showed he will not be missed when he leaves.
However, it does highlight the lack of decent strikers at CP.
I like LG but despite his speed and enthusiasm he lacks presence and class.
It’s obvious that Scepovic doesn’t figure in the manager’s plans.
So unearthing a 30 goal a season striker should be #1 priority before the CL qualifiers come round.
So Ronny, who is going to be our Harry Kane?

Captain Beefheart- Celtic signed him on the advice of their scouts after he scored 24 goals in a season in a better league than the SPFL.

Though ICT were a decent enough team, well organised and physical. they defended well and we couldn’t break them down. Big guy up front is a unit and could be a handful.
We have better players though and this should tell Next week.
Forrest will be a certain starter next week I think.

When most of your team are on wages that are probably 10 times what their counterparts are on you should be able to perform to a standard that is capable of beating the opposition no matter what surface you are playing on
Or maybe it’s the case that standard of football being played reatly doesn’t justify the financial rewards it brings some players
I imagine that most of the players in the employ of Celtic FC at present have played their football on billiard table surfaces all their lives
With all the money invested in Lennoxtown I imagine they could stretch to opening it the morra for a wee Sunday shift to be put in

Inverness remains a graveyard for soccer and Celtic did about as much as they could where better sides have failed repeatedly, to take all three points, against a game of football, but certainly not as we know it.
Ironically it was a speculative shot from outside the box that gave Celtic our only breakthrough and the game cried out for more shots that is the oldest and sometimes only way in the world to beat the parked bus, on bumpy ground.
Ronny Deila made his feelings know about industrial grounds long before this game, so he knew exactly what he was in for along with the John Hughes in your face brand that somehow manages to collect enough points each season.
The game was marred by stoppages, fouls, injury a boy scout hopefully retiring soon referee and a softness from Celtic that will occasionally hit a brick wall. Scott Brown was immense on a pitch that would out trick Paul Daniels, but power from the strike was the missing ingredient.
Plus ca change in Inverness which could just as well be on the moon in football terms. I’d like to see Inverness relegated along with their brand of ‘football’, the only good thing today was the valuable point, no injuries and just a week to wait for Celtic to thrash them at Hamdump, on a level playing field.
Wonder if ole Tommy Gemmell was watching?

I had them in one today but you’ve got to take it on the chin. We can win all the time, only teams who pay referees have aims like that!!

Agree, we need a penalty box striker.
I like LG, and think he should stay.
I had high hopes for Guedetti, but he is a luxury player when you think about the anti-fitba matches we play in Scotaland (witness today’s game…).
Above all, we need that type of forward who is capable of putting his NAPPER on the ball and DIRECTING it towards goal.
The last one we had ? What was his name again ?
Oh yes, Jan Vinegar of Hesselink;
Somebody that’s going o keep even hammer-thrower defenders under pressure (unlike today…).
