I’ve loved the coverage Jack Hendry and Kris Ajer received for their international appearances over the break. The situation in central defence is fluid, with Jozo Simunovic, Dedryck Boyata and (on loan) Erik Sviatchenko each with questions to answer, Jack and Kris have to be considered as having an equal chance of starting the Scottish Cup semi-final.
The thing I’m most looking forward to is seeing Marvin Compper fully fit. There can be no doubt that Brendan sees Marvin as a crucial element in developing younger players around him, in particular with an eye on the Champions League qualifiers.
Saturday’s home game against Ross County is a perfect opportunity to give Marvin a start, while resting one of the international travellers. Let’s hope he plays.

Och, why not … ?
Me?
The post!
Jack Hendry is cup tied for Scottish Cup
Would have liked to have seen Hendry/Ajer partnership given a chance (with CL qualifiers in mind) between now and the season end but I think Hendry will be a bit part player as long as we are still in the Cup. It’ll be Ajer + 1 (or 2 if we play a back 3)
So Brenda is eyeing Marvin then for future young kids? Who said romance in football is dead :-)

Jack cannot play at Hampden. Cup tied.
Better tell Brenda Jack is cup tied?
We have decent defenders, but don’t seem to have an organised defensive unit. Hopefully Marvin can provide some leadership, organisation and communication.
Jack Hendry
Can we not get one of those imperfectly registered thingys and play him ?
Tell zombies no advantage gained as they could have signed him
Who is this Brenda ???
Jozo and Marvin are busy contesting the ole Lennoxtown treatment table
Who would win in a fight between Rainjurz in liquidation 2012 and Rainjurz in financial woes 2012?

Has our manager had a sex change during the International break???

Haha vg! :)
Not the most factually lead article then, Paul67?
First it was Delia and now it’s Brenda. Good grief.
Hmm, standardsslippingCSC
Does the fact that tomorrow, 31st, is Good Friday affect the latest installment in the Dave King saga?

Hot smoked –
What happened to March 30th?
Is this error strewn Maundy Thursday on CQN.
P67,BSR, CRC and HS JJ???? :))
On Jack Hendry – One swallow does not a summer make
Jobo
Oops !
Nevertheless, is tomorrow (safer than guessing the date!) not the deadline for King `s share offer?

The only swallow you are thinking about is your first post lent beer. :)

Maundy Thursday? How very CofE of you DD
That would be an ecumenical issue Ted…
Gene ,
When we played Dundee at Celtic Park, I thought Hendry was very impressive. I wondered if he had the confidence to play for Celtic. His general demeanor suggests that he does have.
I agree, though, that these are early days but he does look impressive.

Never crossed my mind
I’m just concerned that the reaction to Jack’s couple of performances is a bit OTT – the sort of thing the dark side post on their next big thing
Having said that I hope Jack becomes a true legend

Hi Bhoys,
A wee heads-up for any supporters travelling along Dalmarnock Rd from the Rutherglen direction. There are major roadworks, lights-controlled, after the Tesco superstore and before Springfield Rd – caused major hold-ups yesterday as we headed in to pick up the Broonie tickets so a busy Saturday crowd will create mayhem. Best avoided if poss.

You will enjoy.
I see Jack as a raw big inexperienced Defender.
Not convinced he is the real deal yet either.
HS
A huge Glesga welcome to The Spirit of Shankly!
Look forward to seeing you again in Coia’s mi amigo.

Mmmmm Paul67
I’ve seen nothing in Jack to write home about and a performance against the oinly team in world football worse than Scotland doesn’t get me excited.
Ajer has bulked out and looks a decent player but doesn’t have pace.
I hope it’s an area we invest in quality early summer as I don’t believe we have landed on a future partnership. Our progression next year has to have a) no more humpings from tier 1 teams and b) a home performance that can upset anyone.
Big Wavy
For me ,Hendry has been very assured, has good concentration, and good pace, pleasantly surprised by him.
BB
I have been pleasantly surprised by Jack so far.
Not fully convinced yet. So far so good.

Of course it is far too early to make a call either way on Hendry,
I was both amused & irritated if that is simultaneously possible by a post here after one of his first appearances for us.
Thankfully have forgotten who the Poster was but it was the cliched post that really grates on my nerves, ‘ If Hendry is the answer, what was the question ‘.
He is big, he is raw & he is Scottish, if he does make it, he is the type who could stay with us longer term.
I have him mentally bracketed with Christie & Morgan, sincerely hope all 3 make it with us bit even one superstar from the trio would satisfy me.,
