Jungle Jim, here’s hoping. The fans have a role to play. For the first time yesterday, I really felt we could lose the league. That would probably be the worst result/failure we’d ever had under the circumstances. Two Aussie boys helped us increase our lead instead. Time for the fans to awake from slumber and help drag this team over the line.

Larssons chip on the 6-2 game, some forget Henrik had loads of chances that day (27.08.2000) but Klos actually had a great game even though he let 6 in…… He is one player I thought was top class but I suppose when you are getting a couple of million tax free you might entice some half decent players

My memory of Kieran’s injury is that he was shooting with his weaker right and took a hard bang. Is it not a right leg problem?
I’ve enjoyed watching KT this season. He’s an apprentice professional footballer and shouldn’t be anywhere close to a full international squad. Even, Scotland. I hope at the end of the next two or three years he’ll become the player the stupid MSM are pretending he is now.
My family were laughing at me last week when I was describing our players handing over their tops to young fans at Firhill.
I said the fan’s mum who received KT’s strip will need to put it through two heavy washes to make it presentable. Most of the rest are DAZ-ultra ready to be pinned to the wall today.
The Celtic team made me proud to be a fan yesterday.
Guyfawkes, you’re right about Kieran’s injury and him getting into the Scotland squad.
A few of us have posted over the last three months or so that Kieran should not be played in every game , despite his great performances , in the hope he does not burn out.
Him and Griff are our two top players so far this season which reflects badly on others who we know can play much better

They left Kilmarnock yesterday with what must have been the smash and grab of the century after a jammie toe-poke found the net in the last minute.
It was totally undeserved and courageous Killie can can feel a tad upset at not taking all 3 points against a side who are fortunate to be anywhere near the top of the league. Don’t get me wrong, with the finances they have they should be regularly featuring in the champions league at this stage of the season, not celebrating a lucky strike and win against a side who are all but bottom of the SPFL. To say the celebrations were over the top is an understatement, it was as though they had just won the champions league!
Instead an uninspiring, inept and insipid performance from the team, followed by the childish, ridiculous behaviour of their players and manager left many of them feeling like the league had just been won.
They’re day got better later on when a clearly offside Scott Mcdonald scored against the real title contenders this season and then stuck his face into former player Robson’s elbow. An act of blatant cheating that will surely be picked up by camera and referred to Police Scotland.
I suppose if you were one of them you would say it was a decent, reasonable weekend. We got beat after all… But hey… All champions have slip ups. It’s how you respond that counts and with a massive old firm game coming up, what better way for Warbo and the loyal to get a bit of grounding against one of Scotland’s most promising sides. Make no mistake… Falkirk are a right good side and on Friday’s 2nd half performance they would have given Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich a game.
So, in summary. A learning curve of a weekend for the loyal and a ‘paper over the cracks – get out of jail’ one for the pretenders from the other side.
One things for sure… For them it was a missed opportunity to increase the goal difference.

Thank you for your reply. There was no need for that attack on OAPs. I retired 4 years ago and have supported Celtic for 40 + years. I am seriously considering whether or not to renew my ST, posts like that tend to put me off. Anyhoos, brilliant to blether to you. HH:-)))
My favourite goal has to be Henrik’s Boavista goal. I was there, in the Boavista end. As Bada Bing posted it was like in slow motion, thinking it was outside the post as I was in the away end…and then it touched the back of the Net. I had purchased a pea-whistle at the game, from the moment it hit the net I never stopped blowing it. At the final whistle the Boavista Fans wished me well, asked if they could have my Hoops, two chances though I did give them a white T-Shirt with CFC on it that I had wore underneath my Hoops.
What a night of celebrating and in the Town of our Final Opponents.
That goal overtook my previous best goal, Charlie Nicholas’s winner on 1/1/1983, it had been my best goal until Boavista as it earned our first New Year’s victory at Ibrox since 1921.
Keep the Faith!
Hail Hail!
