There are truisms in life. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west, night follows day and Hibernian Football Club will not win the Scottish Cup. However, a failure to lift the trophy since Orville said to Wilbur, ‘I bet this thing gets off the ground’, does not guarantee subsequent failures. Hibs have already beaten Celtic this season and are perfectly capable of doing so again on Sunday.
Before this season Kilmarnock hadn’t won at Celtic Park since 1955, but it happened. St Johnstone, Motherwell, St Mirren, Inverness and Ross County beat us too. All these defeats were against the odds; no more so than Hibs are on Sunday.
Celtic need to get in touch with how they felt after their League Cup semi-final defeat to St Mirren, a day of so much regret. The 90 minutes will pass quickly, there’s no point leaving something in your locker for next week. Let’s get off to a flier.
Many thanks for sending over your Seville photographs, we are planning to pull photos and your comments on the event together into a special publication. If you have any more please send them in, celticquicknews@gmail.com.
Willie Wallace will be signing copies of his book at Waterstones on Sauchiehall St between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday, 25th May. Bet he knows what he was doing that very afternoon 46 years earlier. Get along to see him or order your own signed copy below. This is going to be a great weekend.

Sorry for not using your full monicker. iPad is a nightmare or maybe my lack of expertise in its proper use is a nightmare.
Your 4 conundrums (conundra?..) are very well articulated. It’s frightening to consider if its just a lack of thought on the part of those senior officers allocating the investigation of these cases or if it is a deliberate strategy. ” oh aye, DC ****** hates these Fenian feckers. Let’s give the case to her/him.”

‘Earnie lynch
I’m not engaging in a debate over semantics with you. As far as I’m concerned it was cowardly and I don’t think I’m alone in that opinion.’
######
Words have meanings. It’s important to use them properly. Otherwise it’s all just gets a bit random and absurd and no one knows what anyone else means.
There was nothing cowardly about the attack.
After the attack the two assailants waited to be arrested and in the process were shot.
That doesn’t suggest cowardice.
Sipsini
Send him to wash his hands and face. That’s what my Oul’ Da did with me when inappropriate scenes came on the telly.
Earnie Lynch
Maybe I’m just bemused that you’re making an issue over it was cowardly or not rather than condemning the actual atrocity itself.
sipsini, re The Fall, I have watched the first two episodes. IMO it is extremely good and well worth watching but it definitely is not suitable viewing for kids and I’m not joking when I say that.
Vmhan and leftclicktick I have an outstanding pledge to kitalba are either of you going to hampden and I can pass the money on. Kitalba helped my son out in brisbane last year and I was fortunate enough to share a beer with him in November. I still don’t believe all as it seems though.
I’m with you on that one,too many inconsistencies in the reports from the movie cha..i mean the news channels,
much like the Boston bombings etc.

My above two posts have misspelled your name. I’m sorry that was not a deliberate act on my part to annoy you. I know I typed them correctly. The predictive text on this thing changed the spelling. My apologies for that but I stand by my viewpoint as expressed above.

I did delete them . Total scum. My sister tweeted the Islamic Society Condemnation of the murder and lost two followers. Good Grief

My brother and his wee lad have been let down at the last minute with the promise of tickets for sunday, they have flights and hotel paid for, he’s considering now paying for hospitality tickets at £125 through restaurant 29, anybody have experience of this and if they are reliable enough. The lack of tickets here in the six counties is the worst i have known except for seville, cheers.

The guy that owns this place is a very well known businessman, James Morrisson. His establishment is frequented by football players etc he is also a good friend of Willie Haughey, although he is an orc. I think Celtic actually gave him the tickets to do this your brother would be absolutely safe getting tickets here.

I would imagine House would be hoping that case is quickly forgotten about
He didn’t get where he is by being free and easy with disparaging comments about his underlings (or superiors) and I imagine there is two chances of him making a statement on this case
Slim and None.
Anyone watched Hell on Wheels? I noticed VM have the first 2 series available to watch. Might give it a go whilst waiting for the next series of Madmen, BB, G.O.T. and Sons of Anarchy.

I described the attack as ‘ruthless, brutal and barbaric’.
Most people would regard that description as condemnatory.
It’s also an accurate description.
Calling it cowardly is inaccurate.

Celts,
Re the KANO 125 tee-total-athon:
First of all many thanks to those who have already donated to either Kitalba in Australia, Sannabhoy or myself. For those who don’t know, the Kano 125 is a group of CQN’ers who decided to go tee total for 125 days whilst putting away £1 per day, the idea was to gather the money and present it to the Celtic 1254125 charity in the name of Martin Kane (Kano) in Perth Australia, the 125 days ended on the 5th May and before I go any further I’ll let Kitalba who’s idea it was, say a few words:

Kano got sick one night, very sick. If it was not for so many Celtic Supporters, from so many places, then Kano would be an ornament in a sterile hospital room. That is not nice because Kano still breathes and he still thinks and he is still a Celtic Supporter to his very core.
A lot of money, by a lot of people, was raised to take Kano home. He can’t ever balance the books, but he’d love to.
None of us gets more than one go on the roundabout of life.
Celtic is celebrating their 125th Birthday and indelibly stamping it into their history by encouraging all to embrace the simple ethos of the clubs founding… let’s try and help those who just don’t have more than the air that they breathe.
A lot of Celtic Supporters are doing a lot of different things to raise money for to help those less fortunate than ourselves. To a lot of people that is no big deal.
I’m determined to help Kano pay back the kindness shown to him by the Celtic Support by supporting my club to help unfortunates. No big deal.
There are some from here who have said they will help me to help Kano to help Celtic to help others.
I will give up the bevie for 125 days and I give up posting on here for 125 days as of the 1st Jan. No big deal really, Kano has done both for the best part of four years.
I ‘m going to put a wee bit aside for each day that I don’t drink or post and forward it to Celtic to hopefully fill a belly that needs a feed or to make an unfortunate hope where only darkness is their dawn.(but maybe I can have St. Pat’s day off so I can share a day with some good Tims)
I’ve only one life and when I’m gone I will soon be forgotten, but if I’ve ever managed to feed one hungry person, if only for one day, then my life was worth something.
No big deal to me or you but the person I fed, he/she will never know where the food came from and they won’t ever be visiting my grave to put some pretty flowers at the base of a head-stone, they’ll be too busy worrying about tomorrow.
I can live with that and like Kano, once I’m gone, I’ll know that I never changed the world, hardly left a mark, but still I took to Celtic and I did something to try and ease the pain of others… sort of the Celtic way.

Nice post Kit,
To continue then, Kitalba has asked that I coordinate the monies and make one payment on everyones behalf to the Celtic 1254125, Paul67 has already supplied me with a name and I’ve been in contact with them.
The Kano Foundation have very kindly accepted a request to use their expertise and set up, to collect the monies into one central area.
Can I ask therefore, that all who took part in the Kano 125, and anyone else who committed to donate or now wish to donate, send their donations into the Kano Foundation via their website, its most important that you include “KANO 1254125” as a reference when making the payment so that all donations can be correctly accounted for.
Also you can pay at ANY bank using the following details:
Account: The Kano Foundation
Sort Code: 30 13 01
Account Number: 00989961
Can someone please repost for the late night session,Aussietims/ moonhowlers and I’ll do the early risers :¬)
Sorry for the long post but it’s for our friend Martin Kane in Australia, we should never forget him, he needs our love.

TET & zimmerman, not sure what both of you are on about. There is absolutely no doubt that a young man was brutally murdered in broad daylight and this murder was witnessed by dozens of ordinary people going about their business. The nonsense in the article that TET gave a link to is mostly based on the position of the tent. If you watched the news you could see the tent arrived on a lorry was taken off and carried along the road until they reached the body. Accordingly anyone taking stills from the video could produce stills of the tent in different locations.
hell on wheels is a great series
well worth watching

After the murder of the young boy Kris from Pollockshaws, my wife and I were in a taxi on our way to Glasgow Airport. The taxi driver told us ” it wouldn’t surprise me if a crowd got together and went over there and cleared that place”. He got no encouragement from us and when we pointed out that not everyone in the Scottish Asian population is a murderer but there are plenty of native Scots who are murderers he started to back down and the rest of the journey was completed in silence.

The British army has committed many atrocities all over the world from Ireland to all over Africa.
That doesn’t justify yesterday’s murder
The old republican adage that the enemy of England was Ireland’s friend certainly doesn’t
apply here
The west will have to reap over 30 years and more of misguided policies in regard to the Muslim world but make no mistake Irish republicans have more in common with British soldiers than they will ever have with Islamic fundamentalists

Is that officially the result?
If so I missed it.
Can anyone think of a police related incident that was from the outset judged fairly and correctly?
The list of cover ups is astonishing..

First duty when we hear a police investigation result into anything should be to disregard it.
Its a great show sipsini but as you watch it, you will know what I’m talking about, when I say its not suitable. I’m not a prude and have no problems with the normal sex scenes which are ten a penny these days but this one is a bit different.
