Lions Roar, the last giant standing, CQN Mag is out!

824

Issue 16 of CQN Magazine is out today and (in my never humble opinion) is our best yet.  We are right up to date, with coverage of the Scottish Cup final.  Phil Mac Giolla Bhain gives historical perspective on Celtic’s position as the last apex in the game.

You’ve ready plenty of great stories of how people got their tickets Seville and we bring you a very Celtic story on how one man got his.  Did you notice we’ve mentioned Willie Wallace a bit recently?  Some of the reasons why are covered by two of Scotland’s best writers, Brogan Hogan and Archie MacPherson, excerpts of their contributions to Heart of a Lion are here for you.

There are lots more great articles….. including our cover theme, The Lions Roar Again Event.  The remaining Lisbon Lions are back at Celtic Park for a Q&A and Lisbon film show, in aid of 1254125.  The first event was one of those special Celtic occasions, if you missed it, make sure you get along this time.

Opportunities like this don’t come along often.  Book your tickets for the event here, bring the family.

DON’T TRY TO READ THE MAGAZINE FROM THE GRAPHC BELOW, that is just a teaser.  For a proper read, go here.  Use the navigation buttons at the bottom to flick through pages or zoom in.

Normally scroll by but seeing as you were addressing me directly scan read then carefully read your spiel. Thanks for the advice,. I’m sure you are right, however I live about 200miles from CP so the combined visit or us seems out of the question.

  5. Turned over to channel 4+1 to watch the comedy show…Just saw john ross, the long haired twat of a mate of his Brand? and a welsh guy without raising a smile..Is it worth keeping with it from anyone who watched it earlier?

Charles Green on Souness: “If he played today as he played then, he’d go to prison. He was an assassin. Ooh, he was the hardest man. He weren’t chicken or a coward. He was so hard and so passionate. That’s why the Rangers fans love him. Some people swing allegiances. He never has. Rangers and Liverpool. That’s his life.”.

  7. usually manage about 20 seconds of wossy, 10 of brand and the welsh guy o, Family guy star wars is on!!!!!

Duff and Phelps come out of this discussion badly. Apparently it’s very funny. One of the two admins (Whitehouse) was alleged to be having a nervous breakdown. Apparently that was funny too.

    Anyone heard creditors mentioned?

    Stupid question.

For something a bit different the International Space Station is currently over the South Pacific heading for the coast of Peru, at 00.19 it can be seen in the UK/Ireland, its a good clear night, look in a southerly direction it will head SW to SE like a fast jet travelling across the sky.

I take back what I said earlier. This conversation on May 9 is well down the road for Charles and Craig. Craig Whyte was duping Duff and Phelps.

    Should we tell them?

Craig Whyte just referred to Duff and Phelps as “Duff and Duffer”.

    Dear God.

Cheers Doc. I’ll probably do that.

Great result and performance from Scotland tonight. Tin hat on but thought Hutton played well, WGS doin his stuff

  15. well done to the quizzers tonight,

    and to ireland and scotland.

the latest releases from Charlotte, they are doing what venture capitalist do,

take it over, buy it cheap, sell it on,

however , the acceptance that the football authorities would “do any deal to have the Rangers name” thats the worst of it.

other than real huns, who really needs ” a rangers”.

if you were a true blue from the past, lost your season book, your shares , and your debentures, why would you let this happen,

buy a season book ? your the biggest mugs in capatalism.

Deigned is indeed a good word. I scroll by because of the difficulty in reading your writing style and to s lesser extent your more extreme political views. No less welcome if you ask me. We are I believe a broad church.

  17. SkyisaLandFill, agreed, at least re WGS, he will set a system and the players will play to it.

An impressive result, didn’t see the game, but pleased for the team and WGS?

Hutton had a good game? Surprising, but good for him, hope he has more for Scotland.

What was the range of material he played tonight ?

Was thinking of going but had Megadeth on Tuesday at O2 Academy.

Last time I saw him was a couple of years ago at the picture house in Auld Reekie,

he played his new CD at the time (Arena) song for song, therefore missing out on vital classics. Made me a bit hesitant this time.

However, I was at the one that mattered, with Utopia, Knebworth ’79!!!

Here’s a wee poser for you.

Deidco record attendance = 119K (pre-war) v the Champions – are you telling me there were less than 23K Tims at that game?

    ————————————

there is a contemporary report of the time, glasgow observer maybe, held in the mitchell library, saying the attendance was really 79,000.
