STEVEN GERRARD is backing Brendan Rodgers to make an impact in Europe next season.
The Liverpool legend reckons his former Anfield boss will lead Celtic to the Champions League group stages for the second successive campaign.
Gerrard said: “They’ve had an incredible season, going on to win the treble.
“And now they are going to have to go through the qualifying process, as well.
“But I think with Brendan in charge, they’re playing very, very good football.
“The players love him and the confidence from winning the treble, hopefully they can get into the group stages and then try to get through.”
Rodgers’ men begin the qualifying stages for this year’s competition next month.
