Michel Platini’s Financial Fair Play initiative at Uefa has been one of the more inspiring developments at the top of our game for decades. It brought spending into line with income throughout the English game and punished what Platini called financial doping.
It has been so effective, Platini now promises to relax the rules. The blame does not all sit with Platini. Uefa are dealing with 10 legal challenges to the rules, with complainant clubs citing European Law in their defence. The big football powers are split. The English appear in favour of FPP (Manchester City aside), while many stressed clubs across Europe are in opposition.
The concept of living within your means is still resisted in our game, not just in barred hold-outs in Scotland.

This is a valid observation. I’m surprised at the reaction on here just because Dave King got the green light. It suggests people are scared of what he might do. I’ve no idea if Dave King has the intention or the means to pump millions of pounds into sevco. Whatever he does, all that really matters is that we prepare accordingly.

I totally understand the frustration people feel about these decisions, it is a disgrace that King has been deemed fit and proper when you look at his background – and even the lies he has told recently about having a NOMAD lined up – but the idea that Celtic are to blame for this is nonsense.

Regarding the Fit and proper judgement…………………why are people getting upset? The SFA have effectively handed control to a lying fraudster who doesnt have a pot to piss in. Meanwhile a genuine, pissed off, ruthless billionaire is lying in the long grass waiting to strike back and take his revenge.

Celtic had every reason to expect due process.
I won’t hang the board out to dry for not seeing it coming,because I too believed the huns had gone beyond the point of no return.
I’ll judge them instead on how they deal with their imminent return. And we can start win ramping up a decent financial head-start with CL qualification every year and dumping the vague scattergun project system.
Bring the money in and use it properly. Screw that lot into the ground and leave them as dust,same as their criminal actions should have seen them condemned.
As they would any other club,btw.

So you are not writing to the club because they won;t take any notice but you want the club to do something? Is that right? How do they know what to do? Maybe like you they are expecting someone else to direct them and do it for them.
You predict a handshake between a CEO of one club and a chairman of another? Yep I can see that happening. Where the Daily Record put it is their business.

What are you interested in? Celtic? Rangers? Sevco?
Really what is your stance here? What do you want and what do you stand for? At the moment it looks like ranting.
If you want the club and the board to speak for you then you must contact them and set it out. Then you can come on here and slate them saying they will do nothing and they are interested in money. Not contacting them if you have a grievance is crazy.
You sound frustrated which I understand but let’s be honest since the day that mob got a licence they were making the top league. I didn’t think there would be a catalogue of calamity on the way so personally that is a bonus.

People have had 3 years to get used to this mob being toe to toe with us.
We take them on and beat them.
It’s that simple. They are not being punished off the pitch we do it on it. They keep their tainted titles and cups we beat them fair and square in time.
