That’s how you win at Livingston. Complete control from the first minute to the last. Livi lucky to get nil.

Greg Taylor MOTM again, what a tremendous performance again from the lad. Mooy also superb. Hart takes plaudits for staying awake. Everyone played their part (though we need to take GB off Ken’s vs Livin…).

A word for Nicky Devlin. A good tim by all accounts , but he needs to have a word with himself about his serial diving to buy free kicks. Embarrassing.

Well done Ange, well done bhoys. Brilliant work.

  2. Our best performance of the season given the pitch and the opposition. Total control from back to front

Midfield outstanding, Greg Taylor the best player in Scotland at the moment

I’m not sure Calmac walks back into that team

Wonder how we’d have got on if we parked a bus?

    ===============

We would have got “coached” (lol) out the game……..

  4. dearie me,

how to suck the joy out of a win. lets moan about a penalty miss that did not matter other than increasing the lead.

mystery, why this was a penalty when benchmarked against last weeks not given one.

  5. Good win.

Always a sticky place to go.

Actually, it shows how bad the SFA are allowing that rug to be used as a fotball pitch.

  6. DUSHANBE BHILLY BHOY on

Gio doesn’t like pens against against Livi. Same as the one he missed in 0-0 game on exactly this day last year…at Celtic Park…in the last minute…..same day as Waterboys last played the Barrowlands.

  7. SS

    I agree

Last week was a stick on

    This weeks?

Looks like a public apology to shut up the timmy VAR conspiracy nonsense……

  8. Great result.

    Patchy performance.

    Crossing still very poor.

    Penalty miss was a shocker.

Slow stuttered run up — doesn’t send the GK the wrong way.

GG looked on edge — sitting on the bench / on the park.

    AM — looked good.

RH — came onto a game.

DT — showed a couple of flourishes.

LA / JPNF — much more comfortable on the plastic.

GT — 20% excellent / 70% good / 10% does his brain just switch off?

Penalty decision — they had to give it after last week / this season.

Plus the game was 99.9% won by then.

Ludge MIB — cute as a pet monkey.

  9. mystery, why this was a penalty when benchmarked against last weeks not given one.

it’s so that when they award thems a similar pen award we cant complain.

  10. Brilliant Bhoy’s …all the forces of darkness couldn’t stop us today ….Wee Column was a disgrace… allowing them to “ lay something on them” as the hun pundits would say …hoe often did our players feel a late tackle when the ball had gone….They have one tactic …high balls to the front and get in aboot them .. no attempt to play football …Pity they aren’t allowed to play the same way against their Hun Cousins….☘️COYBIG☘️

  11. Ludge MIB — they have made a schoolboy howler today.

They were between a rock and a hard place.

Today’s handball was a penalty — only up for debate when it is us in the SPL.

They give it — shows how much of a mistake they made last week / much more clear cut.

The don’t give it — more evidence of their triple standards — TFOD2.1 vs SPL vs Us.

Balancing act — slightly less scrutiny if they give it.

Plus we are a 50%’ish success penalty team.

Plus / plus — gets the no penalty in 7 months monkey off their back.

Moral of the story — GG never takes another one.

  12. For me , our penalty today was similar to huns pen yesterday , bit inconclusive.

    Unlike last weeks stonewaller .

  13. Moito obrigado lymmbhoy for all the streanables! – we’d be imagining things without them!

And now that we can finally move on to the game in Madrid … it’s being played in the Ber-Nah-Bay (as in say/hey/way)-OO (as in you/who/glue) … Ber-Nah-Bay-OO!!! … and NOT the Ber-Nah-Bow (as in cow/bow/how) !!!

OK? can we please try and pronounce it right? Lol

Actually if we win (which I suspect we might) you can pronounce it how you like!

  14. Melbourne Mick on

Hey TOM your outdoing BIG JIMMY well done 🥳

What about wee Greg, ? does that bhoy not deserve to be a

    Celtic legend ?

    Totally different.

Theirs — it came of the player then onto his hand.

Ours — straight cross with the outstretched arm making the profile of the player bigger.

Theirs — instinctive / the ball got to his hand after it hit his body / TFOD2.1 player not directly involved.

Ours — we played the ball and his hand stopped the cross.

  16. did big gia come on as a late sub against livi at Celtic Park last season ,we get awarded a pen late into injury time with a chance to win the game , he grabs the ball from another player and goes and misses at the goalie’s right hand side.

  17. Great, controlled performance, great goals. Taylor right now player of the year.

Penalty? It was one but highlights the ridiculous decision not to give one last week.

They even themselves out over the season right Timmy!

Difference is now with VAR obvious mistakes still happen but VAR rectifies these ‘honest mistakes?’, no?

  18. Tom McLaughlin on

    MELBOURNE MICK

I’m not in Big Jimmy’s league when it comes to gambling. I never bet horses, only football.

  19. lets all do the huddle on

did big gia come on as a late sub against livi at Celtic Park last season ,we get awarded a pen late into injury time with a chance to win the game , he grabs the ball from another player and goes and misses at the goalie’s right hand side.

    aye

i was so raging in the ground at that one

but at least with todays penalty he made a genuine attempt to beat the keeper unlike that last one

but he should still be off penalty duties 😆

    ###

Well here’s hoping that next season’s European opponents are of the same standard as Livingston then we won’t have to worry about having to be able to defend.

  21. Great result with some good play.

However — we really to up our game regarding the basics.

Our crossing was in the main very poor.

Our corners and free kicks are well of the pace.

Below the standards that would be expected from a youth team.

Long term issue — sloppy and wasteful.

Too many players seem to think that it is not part of their game / main responsibilities and any old half-hearted nonsense will do.

  22. aye, i cant enjoy todays win because i am already worried about the european games next season ………..

The difference between getting a hand ball pen today but not last week is that we were 2:0 up today but it was poised at 1:1 last week
