CONFIRMED: JOTA ON STAND-BY

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has decided not to risk Filipe Jota in his starting line-up against Livingston in West Lothian in today’s High Noon showdown.

The Portuguese winger has missed the last five games through injury after coming off at half-time in the 2-1 win over St Johnstone in Perth.

There were clamours for Jota to come back against Livi in the quest for three more precious points to restore the advantage to four over the nearest challengers, but the Celtic boss has decided to keep his powder dry, as CQN forecast earlier in the week.

HISTORY BHOY…James Forrest is back at Livingston where he scored in last season’s 3-1 triumph.

The £6.5million former Benfica star will be on the substitutes’ bench at the start against David Martindale’s team.

Postecoglou has made three changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday with Anthony Ralston, Aaron Mooy and James Forrest given the nod this afternoon.

Josip Juranovic, Liel Abada and Giorgos Giakoumakis join Jota on the bench.

This is the first time the sides have faced each other this season after the home fixture in September was postponed.

TEAM: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Jenz, Taylor; Mooy, O’Riley, Hatate, Forrest, Kyogo, Haksabanovic. Subs: Siegrist, Giakoumakis, Abada, Turnbull, Jota, Bernabei, Abildgaard, Maeda, Juranovic.
