The football industry is busy with its twice-a-year transfer jamboree this week but there will scarcely be a player, manager or executive in the country who isn’t daily checking on Harry Redknapp’s on-going court case into his alleged tax arrangements.
Harry, of course, is one of the game’s popular figures, everyone likes him, including me, but his evidence yesterday, that he’s been told “The problem with you is you’re named Harry and you have a cockney accent”, will have the nation pondering if he’s another victim of the systemic prejudice against white, wealthy, indigenous-named, senior and successful people from London. There must surely be a support group he can join.
I’m sure Harry’s innocence will be established but the law and tax authorities are right to pursue any doubt that exists in the running of the game, without fear or favour. Where appropriate, pursue the guilty through criminal, not just civil, courts. Only then will the innocent be sure of a level playing field. Lock ‘Em Up, as a Cockney may observe.

Molina…. fingers crossed, will do fur me
MWD what’s sure is that this board is willing to gamble on us winning the league, well that’s what past performance tells us.
I remember how angry my fellow Celts have been when the gamble has failed, IMO if we bring in a striker then the chances of a goalscoring striker being available when required is enhanced by a third. The fellah from Maritimo would have been good business.
I hope I’m wrong but I can see us with only one striker available and how easy will it be for the opposition to nullify the goal threat.

Vmhan, yeah finshed all 4 seasons just before Christmas, superb. Season 4 is amazing and when its over you should have an almighty high at how good it was than an almighty low knowing that thats it til season 5 starts. Im watching certain episodes over again. Truly brilliant show.

I missed long very long fine interview with Fojut that he gave after he signed pre-contract with Celtic.
As it was posted in one of Paul’s articles, Fojut plays for Slask Wroclaw but is Legia Warsaw supporter.
Q. Who did you inform about Celtic interest?
A. It was my wife who I informed about Celtic interest and possible move to Glasgow. She was very happy with the news and told me to do everything to make it happen. Second person was my son. I told him everything about possible move. He is not speaking yet and it was not possible he could tell anybody else about the future.
When I signed for Celtic, the most happy person was my older brother Zbyszek. He liked Celtic for a long time. He watches every their game. I think he can tell me more about Celtic.
PS. His older brother is not me. If he comes here, he can’t get registered as Zbyszek. At least, I think he can’t.

My take on it, we do need a striker as we only have two fit strikers. We should have four in my opinion as we could and unfortunately probably will suffer injuries to Hooper and or Stokes…not that I am wishing it.
hamiltontim, it would be good to see a young Celt coming through but who? There is talk of James Keatings, who the coaching staff have high hopes, going on loan to St. Johnstone.
MWD, I agree bringing in a striker could backfire as he could get injured but we need a striker, we must take the risk though.
My opinion is that we will bring in a striker on loan and sign somebody on a permanent basis in the Summer. I doubt we will see any business done until after the Falkirk game.

Did anyone else notice on the STV Scottish news tonight that Rangers had yet another trialist who won’t be signing but it keeps the back pages happy. However the interesting part for me was the promo for the 40th anniversary of the Barcelona riot, when they mugged Moscow Dynamo and the greatest ever Ranger John Greig was presented with the trophy in the dressing room. Anyway you would think that with it being the 40th anniversary John greig would be at the forefront, when in fact he was nowhere to be seen. more unsurpassed dignity from the Empire of darkness. Incidentally why wasn’t the new Celtic signing( as in actually signed, with a work permit and everything) interviewed first instead of the latest in a long line of riff raff washed up at Murray park.
I don’t speak Spanish and to be honest the weans in my class have been known to ask if English was my second language!!

Results show I’m missing a quark – have the mesons got it? Will they make it take part in weird rituals?

I really want the big, strong, athletic and bustling striker that we all crave.
My point is if we aren’t able to finance a move for someone of real quality then I’d prefer to promote from within than have another wage being wasted on a guy who’ll sit on the bench at best.

It looked for a minute as though this was some sort of official tweet from Betis, but worded like this it surely cannot be.

I totally agree with you mate. Young Paul George is very highly rated by Neil and expects him to play a big part next season. I agree that unless we can get that quality big strong striker we should promote within. However, we have a league to win and although the orcs are on their knees we cannot take anything for granted. In my opinion it could be folly to pitch the young Bhoys into the frey. It could backfire and could affect their confidence if it failed, especially and not that I expect it to but if we did not win the league.
Can’t make ICT, Brother’s 40th. Hearts and the Sheep game sorted myself. Hibs, although nothing nailed on I should be okay. My cous benebhoy here should hopefully help if I am struggling.
