What were the odds of Bobby Madden being appointed referee for our Scottish Cup semi-final against Newco? Fairly short, I would imagine. All we want from Bobby is a fair crack of the whip. When a Newco player lunges with both feet off the ground at Patrick Roberts, we don’t expect him to be distracted by checking his watch. When Leigh Griffiths is taken down, waist high, inside the box, before his opponent can get near the ball, we expect a penalty.
Such expectations were not on the coupon previously but are not too much to ask.

Watching the Rangers game v Dundee ( and other away teams ) it seems to me the away teams believe they have a chance at Ibrox therefore play a different style than when they visit Celtic Park .
They know if they leave space in behind Celtic have the capability and quality to tear them apart .
Tomorrow will most likely be another tight game ……hopefully get a win , my usual wee bet of 4-1 the Tic it has to come up soon …shoorly :)
Aidans game is cancelled Tomorrow, although I’m a bit disappointed about that it means we get to see the Glasgow Celtic on a Sunday.

Am I the only one who thinks there is something seriously awry there?!!!
Moussa Dembele has been widely touted for a £30M transfer to some of Europe’s top clubs, while Celtic are said to be seriously considering paying £7M for Odsonne Edouard in the summer… and Leigh Griffiths was until recently a 40 goals-a-season striker, yet Celtic set up against Dundee with just one striker.
Sevco meanwhile put out a team with three strikers, the readily ridiculed Morelos, much maligned Murphy and 38 year old Kenny Miller.
It surely isn’t that surprising then that Sevco scored four times whilst Celtic failed to breach the normally porous Dundee defence (the SPL’s 3rd highest goals conceded per game).
There appears to be something seriously wrong with Celtic’s strikers at the moment and it needs fixing soon, or we won’t be getting anywhere near the CL groups next season. Perhaps we should just let Dembele and Edouard go at the end of the season and sign Alex Schalk and Alfredo Morelos to replace them!

Incidentally, I just checked the BBC match report from our away game against PSG. They had 63% possession and 24 shots at our goal, both figures lower than ours against Dundee, and PSG won 7-1! All we have to do is spend 400M euros on a couple of strikers and a half decent midfielder and we’ll have it sorted, I reckon.

I honestly think Brendan is using this season trying to get Celtic used to keeping possession, and in tight situations
This has stifled our creativity in moving forward and creating opportunities up front for our 1 striker – hence the 9 draws this season
Think we need to revert to our style of last season, with better movement and creativity up front
And for playing in the SPFL, we should easily playing 3, 5, 2 in vast majority of games
Need to change some players for fluency in this structure next season
