What were the odds of Bobby Madden being appointed referee for our Scottish Cup semi-final against Newco? Fairly short, I would imagine. All we want from Bobby is a fair crack of the whip. When a Newco player lunges with both feet off the ground at Patrick Roberts, we don’t expect him to be distracted by checking his watch. When Leigh Griffiths is taken down, waist high, inside the box, before his opponent can get near the ball, we expect a penalty.
Such expectations were not on the coupon previously but are not too much to ask.

He very seldom answers a question. He seems to just enjoy stirring. Yesterday he was an expert on wild birds and tried to take jimmynotpaul to task over a claim that he had spotted a rare bird. Ernie stating that he couldn’t possibly have done so etc.

A wee story for you which is true…. I got home from work last year an opened the pattio door to see Caesar in the neighbours garden as he stood with a mate of his that had a pit bull beside him.
I shouted on Caesar but Billy told me not to worry about Caesar as my cat squared up to the pit bull and it sh** itself from him.
The neighbours mate said don’t you ever tell anyone in the pub my dog sh** itself from a cat.
A fenian cat at that. :)))))))

I think I’m puting myself under too much pressure to get back to work on Mon.
The recovery time is acknowledged as 3 weeks, I’m trying to force myself back after 6 days and getting frustrated that I am no where near ready. I need to chill.
Don’t get me wrong the work have been more than fair with me,but we all know, the absences mount up.

No way is Rory a Tim. While recognising that he is a hell of a golfer I’m conflicted by him.
When he won his first major at Congressional he was thrown a Tricolour (of the Lee variety) and let it fall to the ground. He then took from his bag that rag of a flag the “NI fleg” with the crown over the Red Hand. If he wanted to display his “neutrality” he could have had the Ulster flag flown often at his beloved Ulster rugby ground the Red Cross on a yellow background with the Red Hand.
Furthermore after being selected to play for Ireland in the 2016 Olympics (as an amateur the GUI funded him through their elite athlete programme) he mysteriously withdrew citing fears over the Zika virus which was more of a problem where he lived in Florida at the time than it was in Brasil.
He later admitted that the reason why he withdrew was he didn’t feel “comfortable” representing Ireland ffs. Didn’t stop him taking the funding though during his amateur days. Always love to see Irish sportspeople doing well…but in Rory’s case I might make an exception.
I have a few quid e/w on Rahm and Tommy Fleetwood so at the minute getting a run for my money and he is a big Man U fan MIT.
Personally I prefer the mid trans Atlantic accented Graham Mc Dowell.
