Missing defenders when the squad is light

The 25th of May is our sixth cup final between now and then.  Sunday’s visit to Dundee could scarcely feel more important.  On-loan Liverpool left back Owen Beck has received much of the attention in the Dundee defence this season, but central defender Joe Shaughnessy has been a bigger part of their success story.

Beck has been injured since last month while Shaughnessy is set to miss his first start in a league game of the season against Celtic on Sunday.  He was hooked 10 minutes into Dundee’s last game, although the defence were still strong enough to stop Newco scoring.

Missing two from four first choice defenders is a challenge for a team with the resources of Celtic.  It will be a very unwelcome scenario for Dundee manager, Tony Docherty, as he makes a push for European football next season.  We have to expose their weaknesses.

    Just what I was saying after the weekends game about losing goals from crosses,happens in every game.

     

    Then along come Liverpool to ram that point home.Have not won a cross all night,2-0 down.2 crosses.

    As the descendant of Irish on my father side who changed their name with the idea ( along with many of their compatriots at the time ) of improving job prospects my surname is lottery of mis spellings.

     

     

    TLWIO, a couple of years ago I went back with Mrs Emeraldbee to the Toomebridge/Moneyglass area to look into her family ‘tree’. The walk around the nearest cemetery was a laugh, what a variety of family name spellings were on the headstones. All for the reasons you highlighted above – pity they couldn’t agree on one spelling.

    I don’t think we should sign Caoimhin Kelleher, in fact we should stop signing players whose names the fans can neither spell nor pronounce…(I had to look up the Liverpool goalkeeper’s name for the spelling and I’m not sure of the pronunciation of his first name.)

    Another genealogy open question.

     

     

    In the port cemetery there is an impressive AOH stone.

     

     

    But the fantastic shamrock and harp details on the sandstone only has four deceased members names from way back in 1914.

     

     

    Anyone seen anything similar elsewhere ?

    However those not indoctrinated by The Israeli Lobby are protesting on the campuses of Columbia & Yale and in the major cities of Europe and The Global South with the notable exception of Germany who have cracked down on protests with Brown Shirt efficacy.

     

     

    With so much more going on in the US lower house few noticed that AIPAC had another big win. TikTok is being taken off the air in America.

     

     

    This is also a big win for Biden.

     

     

    Genocide Joe has to be punished. As much as Trump was on the take of the late Sheldon Adelson and will go cap in hand to his widow who has pledged $100 Million to influence the Presidential election on behalf of The Israel Lonby, he won’t be pushed around by Netanyahu; or the CIA who are the root cause of the Ukrainian conflict.

     

     

    The imbeciles in the lower House told us that Ukraine had destroyed 80% of Russia’s army and its armaments. David Cameron described the latest tranche of $60 Billion as good value for money. We now find that Russia’s army is fully equipped and 15% larger than it was when it launched what it hoped would be a special military operation to stop the slaughter of 15,000 Russian Ukrainians; to secure the strategic asset that is Crimea; and to stop NATO encroachment on Russia’s border. For NATO read America and a pretext for its military bases throughout the world.

     

     

    With an estimated 500,000 Ukrainians dead or severely incapacitated, is it cheap at the price for the former Bullingdon Boy who fellated himself with a pig’s head as a party trick? I guess it’s in keeping with other Bullingdon excesses such as alcohol enemas.

     

     

    Russia’s economy is buoyant and has not been incapacitated by sanctions. Iran has suffered the worst excesses of Zionist penalties and an attempted CIA led insurrection but has turned to Russia and China and the economic umbrella of BRICS.

     

     

    America at Israel’s behest has undermined the UN and any semblance of a world order. Israel in its 75 years of existence has been found to be complicit is so many atrocities by the UN and its predecessor The League of Nations that it would have been expelled had America not had its back. No other nation has killed so many UN officials including a Swedish envoy who had the audacity to suggest a two state solution.
