    Just where should Charlie Mulgrew play? He has his fans and detractors, whether at LB, CB, CM or LM.

     

     

    What we need most is a big, ugly centre half who will dominate, organise and lead. And that ain’t Charlie or Rogne.

    A right back and left backs first priority is to defend.

     

    On too many occasions we get caught out with a long diagonal ball, while our backs are caught out of position up the other end of the park.

     

    If lenny wants to play attacking wing backs, we need three centre backs that can cover the free rolls afforded.

    Poor display by our team today but it was to be expected (I confess I put Murderwell doon to win on my coupon today along with a QPR draw Drat! I’ve just jinx that), most players have switched off and our only creative player is on his hols (KC).

     

     

    I would have thought Neil would have given Gershon a shot today, I mean why pick him up if we are not going to use him. Anyhoo still a great season and we have the cup to look forward to.

    I think there is very little doubt that Miku, Rogne & Paddy will be gone in a couple of weeks, they are all out of contract and haven;t done enough to merit a new one. That is the easy part of the equation, its also possible Gershon could go. He is another lad on loan and would be easy to let go if Neill is trying to free up wages to bring a few in. Whether Gershon should go or not I don’t know as we haven’t seen enough of him but the fact he didn’t get a game today makes me feel he is not high priority with Lenny. Its after that the task gets difficult.

    While I thought Paddy McCourt played a couple of very good passes, he isn’t the answer, imo.

     

     

    I have said before on here that Charlie Mulgrew has only 1 real attribute to contribute and that is his dead ball skill. He is too slow for either CB or LB. Ledley is far better in LM.

     

     

    Rogne looked lost today. I think he would be a very good CH in Europe but, until we play in a different league, he is no real use to us. He will be better off elsewhere.

     

     

    I would play Ambrose and Wilson at CB in the Cup Final, although I will be holding my breath, as Ambrose in particular needs to realise he is playing in Scotland….

     

     

    Oh how we are crying out for our captain, especially away from home in the SPL.

    Don’t really understand , although I guess Lenny has a reason why Gershon ain’t getting a game. The couple of occasions I saw him he looked a player . But what do I know ?

     

    Anyway Watt was the best today, feel sad that probably Paddy will go as well , he showed today with his dribbling and passing what he is capable off.

    bournesouprecipie & everyone else for that matter, read back the half time comments. Ist half was a top class entertaining game. The penno was a game changer then the offside/Og a few minutes later killed it off completely. They got their tails up and our lads went out of the game. It shouldn’t have happened like that but it did.

    apart from a few players that are not good enough to play for celtic.i believe we have the makings of a very good team,the problem is the coach,who i think his time is up at celtic football club.he lenny wants to be the centre of attraction. with some of the comments he makes,quite embarassing i say,he should be talking the team up about winning games,not other issues.so time to move on lenny,i think he knows that anyway,also we had 2 young bhoys on the bench ,who are scoring goals for fun in the reserves,but not even considered,whats the point in having them in the squad.and hooper,rogne, mc court,kayal, big sammi should be punted in the summer.

    Too few of this group are prepared to get stuck in, it’s as simple as that. No point in decrying Hooper, Samaras or Mulgrew.

     

     

    It’s not a new phenomenon, the season has been littered with lackadaisical performances in which apparently jet-heeled opponents work for each other and get their reward.

     

     

    Thing is Celtic have produced the passionate, jet-heeled performances in the CL.

     

     

    What is needed is 2 or 3 passionate players who actually enjoy playing football, in all it’s guises including a battle.

    We had 30 mins+ to muster a fight back …Mwell looked more like scoring than we did during that time
