You and I have been through a few close seasons together, so it’s no surprise we have this uncomfortable feeling as we look ahead to (hopefully) four hugely important Champions League qualifiers while contemplating how ring-rusty Celtic have looked preseason. These games really don’t matter, of course, they are there to allow us to experiment and build fitness for the real challenges ahead, but you would rather we were turning teams over 4-0 than being on the receiving end. Evidence, perhaps, that the experiments were leading somewhere.
Lots of coverage today of the fall-out from Friday’s meeting between the SFA and Sevco, some of it informed. Huge issues clearly still remain before they will be granted permission to join the SFA but they would not be helped by their prospective manager, Ally McCoist, walking away this week. Sevco have not sold many season tickets but if McCoist goes their chances of doing to will become increasingly scarce. Friday’s comment from McCoist sounded like a scene-setter for a resignation letter.

Don’t think Sevco can sign anyone or even play any matches until they get the SFA membership.
The transfer embargo still hasn’t been “accepted” by Sevco (which bizarrely would have given them a window in which to sign players): it was part of a package that 5 parties had to agree on for Sevco’s membership to SFA.
That’s my understanding, but I may have missed some twists/turns.

Imatim and so is Neil Lennon – His tweets a few weeks ago about the glorious 12th sum him up fairly well
What did he say?
Maybe he meant Club 12. (thumbsup)

The inmates on folgen folgen were in raptures and had a long thread running….waxing lyrical about Beattie tweeting how it was “such a glorious morning” on that’s right…you guessed it the 12 July
Beattie gets to many injuries.
What will he be like with the rough and tumble in div 3.

67Heaven … I am Neil Lennon..!!.. Ibrox belongs to the creditors
They play behind closed doors… :0)
The collective braincell on FF has them winning both cups this season with the possible signings of Beattie, Black, Shiels (?) and Kenneth (stop laughing) to go with the squad of crack players they already have (Alexander, Broadfoot, McCulloch, Bedoya and the youngster who were unable to find a new club).

I guess they have to take comfort where they can find it these days. (thumbsup)

Four greenfields ……rankers are in admin ….. Sevco aren’t ?
Got that bit mate , taking so long to kill this mob off I’m forgetting who’s who in this saga , cheers .
The only other thing is , as they haven’t been accepted by the SFA then surely they cant sign anybody -full stop !
If Beattie does sign for sevco and they actually manage to play competetively next season (aye right!), he will go down in history (or infamy if you prefer) as the only player to have been on the books of olcdo huns, CELTIC, the tynecastle huns and this newco shower! What a CV that is!

Neither….it’s quite plain imo he thinks you’re a delusional impostor
My understanding from a friend of Black’s is that he is being offered more money at Sevco than he was getting at Hertz.
How can this be? Charles Green said he would not run Sevco the way oldco was run.
Is Charles Green not a honest bruff Yorkshire man after all?
Will Sevco be the new Gretna?
EmeraldBee
Cheers for that.
It’s not a significant problem for me as I’m reasonably local to Parkhead, it’s the folk who have to travel any great distances that I have genuine sympathy for.
I do agree it’s a poor show not updating it.
Back to work for me , thanks for all responses.

In other news……………………… has Shortbread’s ranjurs deep throat aka ( Chick), reconfirmed the ‘news’ that Brian Kennedy has re-confirmed his re-confirmation that he might still be interested in asking a guy who currently owns the ‘currants’ and has no intention of selling if he can ‘buy’ them, again?

sevco need to be seen to be buying a decent level of player and one that will see them gain back to back promotion. full-time footballers would do that job and on far less than guys like beattie, black, wallace, alexander and mccullough so looking at it logically they are spending money they dont need to spend and they are also reducing seaons ticket prices. wonder how mark hunley feels about that after stating sevco would just save up lots of money and would be super rich when they return to the spl. am an happy for them to signed players who will be demanding very good wages for the level of football they are playing.
its ironic that even though sevco are in the 3rd division they are the one’s who are still demanding the headlines for transfer targets. it does make me chuckle
Four green fields …..LOL….NOBODY is as confused as the SFA themselves.
I’ve lost the plot altogether………..l
The Beattie thing is a little distractor for the bhuns, to keep them interested ….LOL
I am not at all happy at the timing of the first leg against HJK! I was praying for Tuesday 31st, because the following day Mrs Tally and Ms/Miss Tally are coming over to join me here in Italy for ten days of sun, sea and sand!
I know that they will commandeer the laptop, and I wont get a look-in for the entire ten days! “Are you a man or a mouse ffs”, I hear some of you say! You’ve not met Mrs Tally: she was born in Ferguslie Park, although she managed to escape at an early age because her faither was in the navy! Still, some of the old Feegie traits have remained!
HH!!
Well, if Beattie does sign for Sevco, at least the Physio’s job is safe.

LOL …… and their Director’s Box will be in a prison courtyard next year..
Apparently…..
MálagaCF, owned by a rich Arab and qualified for the first time in history for the CL, has had problems paying player wages. Some players recently threatened to complain to UEFA over unpaid wages and bonuses, but then Málaga CF released a statement saying the matter had been settled.
However I’ve just read today that Atlético Madrid have made ‘informal’ moves to UEFA questioning whether a club with Málaga’s ‘negative’ financial position should be allowed to play in the CL. Atlético would be next in line for the 4th qualifying spot should Málaga be kicked out.
It’s come as a bit of a surprise to me – I knew there’d been problems with paying players but didn’t really imagine there were serious financial problems, and had no idea Atlético were chasing it.
Will be watching with interest.

Hopefully, Norwich are not as modern, and sophisticated as Ajax, we need to restore some composure to our side with only a week to the real thing.

the only way sevco can get the supporters of oldco to newco is to get players in who will get them winning straight away and i dont think its lost on them that they need to get oldco fans/ players/ manager on board to feed the myth that oldco is newco if i was the owner of newco its what i would do was well.

Yep I agree and hopefully Ajax has put the idea of 3 at the back to bed for good.

Where you went wrong is you actually began to take yourself too seriously…..you got carried away and overdid it….before that some thought you were just a rocket…..but you got caught up in your own bullshit, didn’t you…..therefore I do believe it is quite accurate to say the words “delusional” and “impostor” are more than apt when describing your good self

Is he saying gct is foxy or frank or whit
And more importantly whit time is Aberdeen game noon?
