NEW COVID BLOW FOR CELTIC

1

CELTIC have been rocked with the news ANOTHER player has tested positive for Covid-19.

The as-yet-unnamed star was one 13 players ordered into self-isolation following Christopher Jullien positive test for the virus upon the squad’s return from their ill-fated trip to Dubai 10 days ago.

Neil Lennon, who was also forced into quarantine, returned with his players for training at Lennoxtown this morning.

However, news has now broken that one another of his squad has returned a positive test for coronavirus.

It’s yet another shattering blow for the champions who were without the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer, Ryan Christie and skipper Scott Brown for the 1-1 draw with Hibs a week ago today and the scoreless stalemate with Livingston at the weekend, four vital points squandered at Parkhead.

With assistant gaffer John Kennedy also sidelined due to protocols, Gavin Strachan took over in the dug-out and teenagers such as Cameron Harper, Armstrong Oko-Flex and Karamoko Dembele were thrown into the fray.

Celtic are back in action on Wednesday night when they face Livi in West Lothian.

Lennon, speaking to Glasgow Live, said: “Another player has been deemed positive, it is someone who is self-isolating.

“Everyone is negative bar two players.”
