Newco did not disappoint with last night’s statement, it was as incoherent, angry and contradictory as you would expect. They claim:
“We are extremely concerned that member clubs were not provided with enough information, or time, to allow them to make fully informed decisions”.
They were allowed 28 days to ask for as much information as they wanted before voting! Newco and most others were able to respond within two days – by choice.
“We are aware several club directors claimed they were being bullied”.
Several people we are not naming were bullied by someone we are not naming. This is like the evidence of wrongdoing they say they have but would rather not show anyone. To quote their founding manager, “Who are these people?”
They want to sound hard but have chosen to shut up instead of revealing anything – nice one.
“Addressing the [financial hardship of many of our clubs]was one of our primary objectives and the resolution we presented could and should have been progressed”.
“The SPFL chose to obstruct our resolution”.
“The fact that this solution was not afforded sufficient consideration defies belief”.
An independent QC was employed to examine their resolution and found it was not competent and could not be put to members. They claim to want independent oversight but completely ignore independent oversight has happened.
“There is precedent within Scottish football that a league must not be compromised by changing the rules during the course of the competition.”
Again, a claim shrouded in innuendo, this time an unexplained precedent. If I was a betting man, I would say they forgot the league schedule was extended in 2008 to accommodate Oldco (I regularly hear of this amnesia), and are referring to the fact that it was not extended as long as they wanted.
“The anger of our fans is understood and shared by our Board, who continue to examine all legal options available.” Newco do so well in court, the SPFL board must be terrified.
The statement confirms they have a problem accepting rules. An independent QC explained to Newco MD Stewart Robertson and the rest of the SPFL board why Newco’s resolution could not be pursued. Robertson was asked if there was anything more he wanted to ask and if he felt the matter had been given sufficient consideration by the SPFL board.
It was not the SPFL board, the chief exec, a retained solicitor or any other malign foe who stopped their resolution, it was an independent QC. These are the rules, they were independently enforced, accept them.
Remember this SPFL vote did not end the Premiership season, all it did was ensure the season will not be voided, all other options remain on the table. It’s not much of a hill to stand and fight on in these difficult times.

I’m not really into conspiracy theories but is it my imagination or just a coincidence when I’m watching these Q&A sessions when someone asks a real difficult, very pertinent question that has them squirming mysteriously that person’s connection goes down?
They really are morons from board level to their greatest supporters in the media!
Brilliant comment on the US Economy!
Dr. Marc Faber, the investment guru, concluded his monthly bulletin with the following comments! :
The federal government is sending each of us a $600 rebate.
If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money goes to China.
If we spend it on gasoline it goes to the Arabs.
If we buy a software, it will go to India.
If we purchase fruits and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala.
If we purchase a good car, it will go to Germany and Japan.
If we purchase useless crap, it will go to Taiwan or Korea.
In short, none of it will help the American economy.
The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it on Guns, Prostitutes, and Beer, since these are the only products still produced in the US! 😄🤣

Fake outrage to deflect from their self made financial armageddon.
They lost and even conceded the title in February, and a worldwide pandemic couldn’t save them from Celtic’s second nine in a row.
SMSM couldn’t save Rainjurz there are no Sevco investors and the agenda for them as well as many clubs will be fielding a team of any sorts next season, their predecessors in the same stadium they plundered from the liquidator, put three yearly season tickets up for sale weeks before administration.

Brer Hun and Inuendo:-
“Infamy, infamy, they’ve all got it Infamy!”
“This town’s not the same since our back passages were all painted green”
“An Inuendo of a club claimed they were missing a vote. So we had to give them one!”
Log @ 12:59 – Lol.
If the UK was to self reflect on the same basis, what would we come up with in place of guns, whores and beer.
BTW – great leader Pablo.
They’re certifiable.
Checked out the FF reaction last night. Even their own fans agree with this analysis.
Some schadenfreude is in the post so here is some German.
Geisterspiel
1. ghost game (noun)
A football match needs more than 22 players
March 11th was an odd milestone for German football: it was the first ever Geisterspiel, or ghost game in the Bundesliga, German football’s top-flight division. As coronavirus was spreading across the country, the city of Mönchengladbach in west Germany decreed that the match against FC Cologne, a Rhineland derby, would now take place without fans. Inside the deserted 54,000-seater stadium the announcer rattled through his usual script: team line-ups, league standings, and then, finally, spectator numbers: “Today, there are none.” The hosts won 2-1, but the victory felt hollow. “It is sport without a heart,” wrote Die Zeit, a weekly.
Geisterspiele have a long history in football. The word once referred to games so obscured by winter fog that players were reduced to spectres and the ball had to be imagined. The modern usage arose in the 1980s, when footballing authorities banned supporters of lower-league teams from attending specific matches as a punishment for hooliganism. This year, fans barely had time to get used to the coronavirus-induced Geisterspiele before the German football season, like most in Europe, was suddenly suspended.
With no end in sight to Germany’s restrictions on mass gatherings Christian Seifert, head of the German Football League, says that Geisterspiele might be the only way to conclude the season.
Much is at stake: Germany’s is the world’s third most valuable league, and some teams fear that they will go bankrupt if the season is voided. Yet Geisterspiele bring their own problems; during their team’s game against Cologne, hundreds of Mönchengladbach fans defied the club’s appeals and assembled outside, hoping that their cheers would penetrate the empty stadium. In a novel turn of events, the ghost game was haunted by humans.

Sorry , Ger.
With respect to yourself and to your son , we`ll have to disagree.

Currently , major confrontations with African students , whose govts. are accusing the Chinese authorities of a racial aspect to the arrests .
Lots of footage of this . Easy to find on You Tube .
Really poor tribute to Norman Hunter on BBC News, first 7 tackles were fouls, sure the guy had a reputation, but surely he was much better than this.

The SFA could of course reassure SPFL they are not disguising an actual insolvency situation had CV19 not emerged.
David66,
I understand Scotland is much better prepared than England & Wales but that’s down to the fact that Scotland did not introduce the 2012 stealth privatization bill The Health and Social Care Act 2012.
However they could have been better prepared if the tartan torys had allowed a budget for resilience and redundancy problem being, they also want to run the NHS on commercial grounds annd are implementing their own stealth policies to undermine the NHS.

If you apply for the scarecrow allowance, do you get furrowed?

I share your puzzlement. BJ uses wartime language.
In WW2 I dont recall what Singers Clydebank were asked to produce but it wasnt sewing machines.
It should not be beyond commercial wit to produce some form of light overall cover and build decontamination stations around bus stops (like the sprays used in Florida parks to cool customers) that make the environment so hostile to transmission of the CV its impact is reduced to an acceptable level.
It’s not as if the gear or capacity to produce would not be needed in future giving some version of the flu virus in circulation is a regular event.
Every day that capacity is not built delays a return to the end of social distancing.
Auldheid,
they are investing and waiting for a vaccine that may never come, it’s big must profit pharma strategy.

Auldheid- ive seen spray tents in Turkey, our staff can’t even get a gown.
