NORWAY WOULD AJER QUIT!

1

KRISTOFFER AJER has revealed he had his shoulder joint popped back into place during Norway Under-21s’ surprise win over Germany.

The 19-year-old Celtic defender made a valiant return to action during the 3-1 victory after receiving treatment for blocking a shot inside his own penalty box.

Ajer admits the pain was worth it as his side took full points against the Germans in the European Championship qualifying clash.

The versatile operator is not concerned about the scare and is adamant he will not be adding his name to the Hoops injury list.

He said: “When you play for Norway, there’s a hell in you. The shoulder jumped out a bit, but I got it in place, and then it’s okay.

“You just pull it into place and get onto the pitch.

“It hurts now and it will hurt tomorrow, but I’ll be okay.”

The new Invincibles treble disc DVD is now available from CQN Bookstore HERE. It is quite simply unmissable. What a season that was!
