  1. The Kano Foundation Annual Dance 2014

Folks , as you know , our annual dance takes place on Saturday in Radisson Blu in town.

This is not a last minute ticket drive as we are virtually sold out . What this is , is the chance to win 2 tickets to the evening , for free. We’ve got so much from CQN over the years that i’m offering a wee something back (oh , and someone from my table cancelled and i’m not gonna try and flog the tickets at this late notice).

So . for your chance to win , simply predict the score for tonight .Entries will close at half-time .

    Predictions to sannabhoy@thekanofoundation.com .

Can someone please try to put this near the top of each page throughout the day ? Thanks

    Sanna

  3. a light insanity on

Torn I always want Celtic to win but I would also love to have my kids there on Saturday to see them win. A good way to end a rubbish week for them.

  4. If the game looks like being won before we make any substitutions I’m almost certain that those to come on will be Sami, Pukki and Kayal. being the 3 subs who have played the biggest part so far in the league campaign.

  6. notthebus – I don’t think there’s enough time played for a 74-0 so in light of this, I’m going for a meagre 53-0

  7. 1st ever 1st!

Was going to post a ‘well done’ to Tom Boyd for his interview…………………

    …………..couldn’t resist an open goal.

Experienced line-up should see us run-out winners by 2/3 goals and see us clinch ‘MY’ 25th Title!

    H!H!

Got 4-0 on the Hoops tonight and 4-0 for Liverpool.

Nice wee double if it comes up.

  10. Low key approach to tonight’s game.

    Official line up

CELTIC (4-4-2) Forster; Matthews, Ambrose, van Dijk, Izaguirre; Brown, Johansen, Mulgrew, Commons; Stokes, Griffiths

Subs: Zaluska, Samaras, Balde, Pukki, Kayal, O’Connell, Henderson

    Tell me about it!

I posted on here previously that I went through; infant, primary and secondary school and never saw us win a title – the only thing that kept me going was the 7-1 League Cup Final…………

…………. and then there was ’67!

    H!H!

  13. Colour Blind Bhoy on

I have been a daily lurker for almost 5 years and my posts number 1 for each year since I was lucky enough to be introduced to CQN, largely down to seldom being on the blog real time and so I find myself playing catch up and going through a full thread at speed but miles behind the conversation.

I find the quality of the blog to be consistently high and over the last few weeks, since the build up to CQteN hit fever pitch, I believe it has become an even better and more special place.

In that time a number of posters have suffered pain and loss and my condolences go to each and every one who has. There have also been some incredibly moving posts and fund raising achievements that are to be marvelled at. As ever there has been a lot of great music and humour and of course the challenge of BCW’s Friday night quiz and Jobo’s daily weather update which is handy as my work takes me to EK now and then.

Why do I tell you this? Simple really, to thank everyone who makes CQN a very special blog and to say how much of a pleasure it is to be a tiny part of a wonderful place.

Won’t be at Firhill tonight but hope that my 4-0 forecast becomes reality and I look forward to the party in Paradise on Saturday.

  14. Got the Barca game on the noo. The pass from Iniesta to Messi, threaded through 5 players for the 2nd goal was definitely on the ridiculous side of sublime. That is real football.

Will probably remember more about the podium than the 1st League Title – think I was just coming out of nursery and going into the infants! :-)
