If you’re right I will be watching the game from behind the couch. I understand the need for experience but time and time again the big fella has proven to be a serious liability. Further, it would damage Brendan’s credibility as a coach if he played and the worst outcome came to pass. We’ve all seen it plenty of times, if it looks like a duck etc.
he seems to be working on the principle of keeping our worst players out of the 11 rather than making a team that gets the best out of the players he has

I would like to say my big thank you to all supporters who were with us today until the last whistle of the refree! Finally we brought joy to all fans in Kazakhstan. My big thank you to all footballers who fought until the end and got great result. It’s third year in row we are going to be in play offs to the Champions League or to League Europe. Today was not an easy game for us. In the first half we had few moments we should score the goals. In the second half it was Zalgiris that had moments in the game. They played well counter attack football. Their goal came after deflection from our player.
-Physically we did not look well in that game. We play the games every three days. This is tiresome season for our players. I’m going to ask our Directors to send the letter to the authorities with the question if they could postpone our game against Aktobe. I really hope that Kazakhstan Federation will find understanding for our request. If not, we will have to play against Aktobe and will do our best to be the better team.
-Was today similar to the game against HJK Helsinki? I would not say that. In the game against Helsinki we did few mistakes. It was the game where the referees made a mistakes to. We did have to win to go through to the League Europe and we did it. This year every one thought we the favourites. We felt huge pressure and you know, it’s not easy to play when you feel it on your spine all the time. Anyway, we need to up our ambitious plans. If we are going to play against Celtic Glasgow, I know it’s going to be wonderful time. It will be wonderful day for Kazakhs football.
-I must say, I don’ t have enough quality players on the bench and this is a problem at the moment. We have 15-16 players. We have moments when we are tired and I have a problems with who I should change those who I have on the pitch? This happened today as well. We scored in additional time and we were lucky. Wonderful moment for a whole Kazakhstan football.
-Di I believe we were going to score in the last seconds of the game? Yes, I did believe, I always believe in my boys. If you take the stats into account you will see that we score many, many goals between 80 and 95th minute of the game. I know that my footballers are big fighters are try to do their best until the final whistle. If you try, try very hard you can win.
I think we played well in the first half. We lost the discipline in the second half , played much worse in the second in comparison to the first half.
-Celtic, or Lincoln. It does not matter who we have to play against in the next round. In the other hand, if we have Celtic here again in Kazakhstan, it’s going to be crazy game. We don’t fear none, Celtic, or Gibraltar. The one who is the better tonight will play against us.

The one think that bothers me. We signed BR in a blaze of publicity and created high expectations. Since then we have done nothing, other than sign Dembele. The team already has mental scars and we clearly need to strengthen and get leaders on the park. We are dithering and losing momentum. Very risky business from PL again. He created this mess and should have much more urgency around rectifying it!
I have one concern, we have no pace in the middle of the park should the wee Imps get a breakaway…
