Payback for Turnbull Hutton

735

You all think you’re so smart, smugly laughing at the outcome of a game in a tournament you didn’t even know existed until recently.  Let me tell you, yesterday’s defeat of Newco Rangers was nothing short of calamitous for the road I hoped the club would take.

Ally McCoist is crucial to all the things I hope happens to Newco in the years to come.  He alone can deliver the hilarity waiting for when his team face full time footballers every week.  Who else could spend so much yet produce so little?  Who else would have the sheer brass neck to demand such a salary, even if partially deferred, in order to endorse the spivs as suitable recipients of season ticket money?  This guy is unique and of immeasurable value.

Yesterday’s defeat fundamentally weakens his position.  What now when, in true Rangers tradition, he stands in front of this year’s AGM thanking ‘yous’ for being the cream in his doughnut?  Will they still cheer at being patronised like applauding seals completely lacking in self-awareness?

Mark my words, anything which undermines McCoist is unwelcome.  A Ramsden’s Cup win would allow him to claim as much credit as he could waddle off with and would have upset no one.  They had a party at Ibrox planned, like it was 1975 all over again.  The humiliation must be significant.

The way forward for Newco Rangers is to put pressure on their board to release badly needed funds for the manager to spend in the hope of winning promotion from the Championship next season.

A word for Raith Rovers and their chairman Turnbull Hutton.  It was a Raith Rovers director who sat across the table from one of the Rangers clubs (I’ve lost track) to judge their failure to dispense their tax and other duties during season 2011-12.  McCoist then publicly demanded to know the names of the panel members.

It was Raith’s Starks Park ground which needed 24 hour security after receiving a threat to burn it to the ground following McCoist’s outburst.  Turnbull Hutton stood firm and was one of the voices which ensured the rules were applied as they stood.

Seville – The Celtic Movement

“Going into the second leg, it was all in Liverpool’s favour and on paper it was Celtic’s toughest test. That wasn’t to be the case though as Celtic achieved a very comfortable 2-0 at Anfield. Both goals were superb to top a fantastic victory. A low free kick from Alan Thompson and a wonderful strike from John Hartson were the difference in this game. Celtic went through to the semi-final 3-1 on aggregate.”

Billy bhoy 05 I’ve been out and about and read back on your postings. You are obsessed by nationalisms and not in a constructive way. I read your post about facts and it struck a chord with me. The Huns talk about FACTS (at least you didn’t use capitals). FACTS ar snippets of truth positioned in a way to disguise a bigger truth. One of the favourites is the FACT that rangers did play a catholic when they were effectively banned. Huns use this FACT to say Catholics were not banned in an effort to rewrite history. Of course they ignore the fact that these Catholics lied about being Catholics to play for them. I believe your are usings FACTS even if you aren’t using capitals.

Funnily enough others have also arrived at the same conclusion. You are here to promote nationalism and nothing else. It’s wafer thin. Stick your nationalism where the sun doesn’t shine and tell your pal salmond I am looking forward to his resignation in September. That’s the fact pal.

And if I am wrong then please explain the OB act, or please explain the media in Scotland. Like riots in Edinburgh but police praising Huns and minor events in Dundee but all over the press for days. Like Motherwell where we can’t be allowed to see the damage (for legal reasons don’t ha know) compared to Manchester riots blamed by the media on Chelsea fans.

I could go on and on but please explain.

Or don’t you like them apples?

Away back to salmond with you FACTS

Both songs part of the same incident and even the Masons are talking about upping the ante on the original charge.

I detest racism in all of its many mutations. I feel that LG ,as Corkcelt indicated ,was just being stupid with no malice or forethought. He strikes me as not being the sharpest tool in the box and I feel there most definitely is a case for rehabilitation with appropriate sanctions. He has to know what our team stands for and what is in the DNA of our club. Because he is just in the door I feel he is still learning so fools pardon this ONE time.

As for the scumbags in the gutter press. We know that there is an agenda against our club and the demise of their team has acted as an accelerant. Issues recently of which the LG incident is but one example have thrown this into stark relief. On this we hold all of the cards. Their team has died and is not comingng back. The tribute act is gash and will only sell so much copy. Lets do a Liverpool do NOT BUY THE MSM.

Ban them from our ground and give them no advertising. Why would we strengthen those who seek to destroy us????

  5. Incidentally well done to the board for freezing sb prices. Though I think they had little choice. Celtic still not doing enough but I will tell you why in my piece on alternative CEO on the CQN magazine.

  17. A poster last night felt that NL is in the MO’N style of football thinking. That is a mistake in my opinion. NL’s sides are not determined by height or brute strength in the same way as MO’N’s teams were. We have often played a very decent brand of football. My worry is in Europe where our possession levels are dreadful and our ability to pass to our own players often disappears. Perhaps a fresh coach could help.

NL will struggle to get a Premiership job. Stay at Celtic Lenny.

It seems it’s okay to call someone a Nationalist in a derogatory way on this site, according to what you say.

    Let’s now define a Unionist.

My definition is someone who argues / debates for the continuation of the status quo. A british state.

Therefore you are a de facto Unionist.

That means in practical terms you would prefer a Tory Government as opposed to a left of centre Scottish Government.

Now let’s get to the sensitive bit. You are in the same camp as the Loyal Orange Order, Ukip and the Labour Party that took us into illegal wars and recently backed the Tory Party in the benefit cuts.

The polls show the Labour Party have a 5% lead over the Tories. Now it is a well known fact that the lead will narrow as we approach the election. Now most political commentators are suggesting a Tory victory, that ‘s of course if the English working class do the usual and vote them in.

Like our good friend Kojo suggests, you are on the money re the drink culture.

It would seem that in general, players from these islands don’t have the same respect for their profession as do their European counterparts.

Also the training regimes appear to be less thorough.

Ten years before he arrived at Celtic Park, Dr. Jo managed at Aston Villa.

He tried to introduce continental codes of discipline to the players, but was laughed out of town after a few months.

But lest we forget, I can remember thousands of Celtic fans singing a racist song in the sixties. This was the Lisbon generation and the song was a parody of Simon and Garfunkel’ s El Condor Pasa. Without sin, first stone etc.

  27. Maybe Celtic are boxing clever by holding an “internal inquiry” into the Leigh Griffiths affair.

After all, if the club concludes that there is no case to answer, or that the player has already been punished for the same offence, would the MSM really have the audacity to protest about a club carrying out their own investigation?

  28. Classic Msm tactic when the Huns get humped particularly when they were banking on a result to sell their papers, no doubt there was a wee 4 page spread lined up on how the cup was won. Raith Rovers put paid to that wee special and fecked up sales big time. Time to get a negative front page story on Celtic to attract Hun attention to boost sales hence LG and beattie story.

I have banged on for long enough about the lack of training our players do compared to most euro clubs, especially the top euro clubs.

That could be a major factor why they are better at passing the ball to one of their own team mates, why they are fitter, why they can see a better pass, why their team mates know where to move to, why they can anticipate where the team mates will move to, why they are faster thinking that their scottish counterparts, while our players are on the golf course or in the bookies, or playing with their computers, or in the boozer, the euro players are still training and practising their skills.
