Playing with an eye on your next gig, bold use of Latin

845

I don’t like playing games when players have transfer or contract business swirling around the dressing room.  Give a team an excuse to underperform and they tend to grab it, so I expect a difficult challenge at Easter Road tomorrow.  If we want to maintain our unbeaten run and two month old clean sheet record we’ll need to bring our A game.

Neil Lennon’s comments at yesterday’s media conference, about potentially dropping players who plan to leave in the summer, point in this direction.  Few manage to perform with an eye on their next gig.

Well done to the new regime at Newco Rangers who used Latin in their stock market announcement yesterday.  There was no “ex-gratia” payment to resigning director, Brian Stockbridge, who instead had his contract paid up.

Paying Stockbridge in full is hardly a money saver but with him not around it will sweeten the medicine others will have to take and allow a fresh angle to be pitched to supporters at season ticket renewal time.  Let’s hope their manager sticks to his contractual guns.

Daily Record columnist, Chris Sutton, has today made the case for Neil Lennon to leave Celtic and move to England.  Nice one, Chris.  If you hand around long enough to get to see it all.

Do you remember Fr Tony Banciwicz from Our Lady of Loretto Dalmuir and Corpus Christi Knightswood. Beautiful man who helped the poor in our communities. Died last year. God rest his soul.

I don’t bud. I am 48. If he was an Aquinas Bhoy, he would have been better educated than the majority in B&S :)

  8. To all you posters who cannot see the “hun” infiltrators on this blessed site, shame on you, and you should not need me to name them. The ignorance shown in me being questioned, says it all. There are certain people who are trying to bring my club down to a level that will accommodate the possibility of plying their playing ability to compete with a new incarnation. These people are on this blog. Open your eyes. One already called me out the other night. He knows who he is. Defo off to bed now.

Yeah it was good mate thanks for asking. I thought it was a wee bit boney. I didn’t. I hope the missus doesn’t hear about it. I don’t have a missus to worry about. It’s none of your business. I’m pleading the fifth. I really enjoyed it. I wanted to go down the book club. I did. I thought it was tacky. I’m no tellin’ you. I had my Zorro mask on. I pretended to be a prince. I didn’t go I went for a walk down the Damascus Road instead. I loved it. Me too. Me no. Me no too. Me no Know. I prefer the coffee club.

Wow mate slow down, are there any empty seats on your bus? Don’t answer that.

Nae there for whimps, DSL and the world is your Kaleidoscope.

Now I was just asking after the leopard. He knows what it means. He was pretty nasty often about our manager and quite a few of our players. Actually I think if somebody was to ever do a league table as to the poster most often invited to GTF then he would be sitting right up there at the top looking down. He likes to look down on others.

Every now and again ten of his masks slip and out comes this evil, evil person. I really should just ignore him but you know what they say, for evil to prosper……

I listened to our national radio to-night at 6 o’clock and was particularly interested in the contribution of Graham Spiers. Now I have always thought that he was the best of a bad lot. That maybe not saying very much but at least he was not in Sir David’s pocket and was prepared to criticise the Rankers from time to time but he was a fence-sitter and he was not prepared to go the whole hog and tell the truth as we saw to-night. How sad ! These people do not seem to realise the damage that they are doing to the Rankers by not telling the whole truth. Maybe they are frightened of bombs in the post.
