I don’t like playing games when players have transfer or contract business swirling around the dressing room. Give a team an excuse to underperform and they tend to grab it, so I expect a difficult challenge at Easter Road tomorrow. If we want to maintain our unbeaten run and two month old clean sheet record we’ll need to bring our A game.
Neil Lennon’s comments at yesterday’s media conference, about potentially dropping players who plan to leave in the summer, point in this direction. Few manage to perform with an eye on their next gig.
Well done to the new regime at Newco Rangers who used Latin in their stock market announcement yesterday. There was no “ex-gratia” payment to resigning director, Brian Stockbridge, who instead had his contract paid up.
Paying Stockbridge in full is hardly a money saver but with him not around it will sweeten the medicine others will have to take and allow a fresh angle to be pitched to supporters at season ticket renewal time. Let’s hope their manager sticks to his contractual guns.
Daily Record columnist, Chris Sutton, has today made the case for Neil Lennon to leave Celtic and move to England. Nice one, Chris. If you hand around long enough to get to see it all.

I thought…it must be him, there’s no two blokes on Earth that look like that :O)
Sorry mate next time Lanarkshire and I will go easy on the boundary. hh
Snyde in a state of paralysis with the score at Ibrox, but wan cell tells us all not to worry, Rangers (sic) will turn it around.
Paul67….
I look forward to my interview in the next CQN annual, describing how it felt to do 9 in a row just waiting for the rain to go off and take Henrik the Dug oot tae water the trees on the common.
Now I’m not suggesting that I’m in the same league as Mr.Stein, but did he have a mad dug to
keep waiting when he was reeling off his consecutive successes?
Naw,he probably didnae…..but even for me…it’s cold in his shadow.
Get your bets on for an Arbroath player to get his marching orders and the deadco to get a penalty!
So when will the Huns get their pen and Arbroath their red card?
I was at the Arbroath V Airdrie Utd (?) and Banjo scored that day. Cue the music . Very funny.

Every time I see that clip I am reminded of a young Barry Ferguson, can’t think why…
Mon the Smokies!
Interesting to see Suttons views re Neil. As it was hearing Neil’s re the spark missing due to no rangers fixtures.
Both observations understandable. Even more so as we seem to have no exit options from our current playing environment.
Annoying that either felt they needed to air these views though.
As Neil indicated in his chat on talk sport the lack of a rangers game and our lack of competition lessens the marketability of our game and lessens our appeal to signing targets.
I cannot imagine any rangers ex players showing such ‘honesty’ in public.
Mind you I still haven’t forgiven Sutton for his lethargy post the king if kings absence. My abiding memory was looking down from an exec box at CP whilst they were training 2 days before Black Sunday as Sutton and John Robertson enjoyed a fag and a laugh whilst the others had a half hearted bounce game for half hour.
MON obv nowhere in sight.
Can anyone explain why supporters of the former rangers club refer to every one in positions of authority at their club as MR ? Weird doffing of the bowler hat methinks.

I’d have Banjo boy in my quiz team before Barry :)

What a conundrum!
Flat tire due to faulty valve; can’t take the wheel off because the garage have tightened the nuts too much; can’t call RAC because the car is in the drive.
Plan A could be blow the tire up and blue tack the valve and drive it to a garage or Plan B sod off to the pub?
I’ll take the latter its a Saturday afternoon :)
Man city -1 6/1 great odds get your cash on it HH
Paul,
Interesting that Neil would allude to dropping players who are in contract limbo.
My only real criticism of Neil is that he does not appear to have a development plan for his young players. This is evident in both starting lineups and substitutions.
We have players out on loan right now, who are playing every week. Does he have a plan to bring McGregor and Irvine into the first team squad next season? Does he have a plan to ensure they get a certain amount of playing time (probably domestically) next season?
Not sure that he does, given the steady stream of ‘projects’ coming in.
I fear that we have lost a massive opportunity to really push on with young players while playing in a league with little competition.
So…..drop contract ‘rebels’ all you want. But what about the future?
Just asking…..
long haired yins man,
its didnt used to show the games (SPL games anyway) but its been about a year since i actually went in there.
Usually too busy trying tocatch connecting flights to go in these days.
Sorry cant give you a definitive answer mate.
