Not the way I like to see the hoops play but I suppose the result justifies the means.We are still short of a real class creative midfielder but well done Ronny and the bhoys I had my doubts but we live to play again. H.H.

my head says that was a comfortable victory, as there were virtually no decent chances for Qarabag… but my heart thinks otherwise… a job well done by the Bhoys !

Superb performances from most of the team, especially our central defenders, VVD & Boyata, and well supported by the rest of the defence – Bitton & Brown were fantastic in midfield… and solid performances from the remainder !

We’re throughhhhhhh! Great controlled performance from Celtic! Virgil, Mikael and Niiiiiir. Superstars – all of them. What sort of chemical enhancement was that ref partaking of? We were lucky to get nothing from him.

The only agenda I have is the best for Celtic,over the moon we ‘ve overcome the tie and no disrespect to qarabag and the modern game but we should be expecting to progress this stage of the qualifiers
It’s the next game I’ll be sweating.
Thought Virgil, Boyota & Bitton were brilliant. You have to adapt to different situations and we adapted tonight and guaranteed ourselves at least 8 more European games. Yes we can carp and we do look a bit short of firepower but that is for another day. This was all about making the next round and we made it. Nothing else matters. I’m relieved and delighted.
Well done to all our Bhoys in Baku tonight both on and off the park, Brown and Bitton superb but we really lack a bit of guile. Along with a few others we have played in the past few years, the opposition were extremely poor.

Tremendous Celtic, well done got the job done that was a tough shift with an imbecile of a ref who could have cost us the tie. Great result for Ronny ,as well delighted for all concerned
Good professional performance by Celtic in a difficult tie against the technically sound defensive Azerbaijan champions.
Celtic supporters who watched the game at Celtic Park would have taken a 0-0 all week long for the return in Baku, but in fact we should have won both legs, especially from one of the two late Johansen and Forrest chances.
Some class performances from Bitton especially, but Celtic are light years ahead of the side that crashed out to Maribor, after a year of RD and JC leadership.
Full marks to BT Sport for tempering Sky bias, and filling the commentary with some Celtic thoughts.
Looking forward to the draw, and then El Glasico.

was suprised at the complete and utter lack of ambition shown by our opposition …. they seemed to have decent skill, and a decent set up, but never really seemed ‘to go for it’ … even when they were down a goal and time was running out ….
having said that, we defended pretty well … agree with the comments that ML had a good game, and that Boyata had some nervy moments, but will be immense for us this season….
but our forwards?! … they play like they have never trained with, or even met, each other before stepping on the park …. a forward/strkers coach is needed!!!!!!!!! whatever RD is telling or not telling, the forwards, it isn’t working.
