Rallying call to supporters from the manager

1060

Neil Lennon’s interview with the official site was the second resounding State of the Club address from Celtic within a week.  The manager said:

”Clearly, in terms of where Rangers do play, that is now a matter for others to decide upon, it is something we have no control or influence over.

“We must now move on, and move on with a collective unity between the supporters and the club and the team.

“We need to stand strong, shoulder to shoulder and all work together to continue to move the club in the right direction.

“We want as many fans as possible to come back to the club and take their seat at Celtic Park and invest in the club as much as possible.

“We are now looking forward and not back, we have a vibrant young team, I want to progress this team as far as I can but we cannot do this without the fans’ support.

“There will be no slacking off or complacency, we have a lot to look forward to and that´s what we are preparing for, but I need to be very clear, we need our fans with us every step of the way.

“We cannot let outside negative influences dictate the mood at Celtic, we are very optimistic and we are very much looking forward to the season but we need our fans right with us”.

“It´s imperative we make inroads in Europe again this year and it would be nice to get through the qualifiers and into the Champions League group stages, but I´m under no illusion how difficult that´s going to be

“Everyone wants to play at the big table and that´s our whole focus. We go into this as champions and that is a fantastic feeling, so hopefully that will give the players an extra spring in their step.

“If we qualify then you never know where it will take us.”

I hear season ticket sales are up on the corresponding period last season but the message from Neil is clear, with the driver for high-value corporate ticket sales missing, Celtic are more dependent on ordinary supporters buying tickets than ever before.

This is your tax-and-supplier-paying-champions-today-and-next-season-Celtic.  You wouldn’t rather it any other way so get along and enjoy it.

I just hope the board are going to make sure titles are reassigned if their happy to see the huns have a club in division 1.

If titles are not reassigned and the board do nothing about it I will be done with football,I’ll just make sure I get to church more to do my bit against hunnery,I will seriously be finished with,I can’t even say it.

Such is the anger we all feel about the ebt scam gaining them the prizes and titles which are rightfully ours and in the knowledge of the current gerrymandering and previous blind eye to the huns, for the authorities not to strip them and give the success to the deserving will be just too much,by rights we’ve smashed 10iar and no debtless reincarnation of hunnery will ever match it.

Seriously fed up with the game.

  4. The Board might have got the season ticket money in, but how many are paid by direct debit and can easily be cancelled!

They are playing a very stupid and dangerous game

If Rangers are not at least suspended by the SFA for being cheating bar stewards and their stolen titles are not returned to the rightful owners, Facilitators of this whitewash will be guilty not only of collusion and cronyism, but guilty of handling stolen goods.

And more me, that means no more Scottish Football for Hector_Avocado.

  13. Over on FF they’re content that there is no evidence of Whyte’s further involvement:

“People are frustrated at comments from Bomber because it’s more of the same with no evidence to back it up. If Whyte and Ticketus are involved, we need information on exactly how they are involved and some evidence. People digging around on here haven’t found anything on floating charges or owners of assets to suggest this is the case, and Murray and Stockbridge have both denied Whyte’s involvement.”

All that remains is a myriad of zombie incarnations…Newco,Oldco,Sevco,Zombieco,i can’t believe it’s now their Deadco.

Remember this – zombies think that they are alive, but they are not…zombies are dead, they aimlessly wonder about like ghouls and ghosts.

When the zombies return to Ipox, there will be nothing left.

  18. Done lurkin…….Cluedo??? Gimme a roll of the dice.

The dead body lying in the big hoose has been taken away for cyrogenic storage. The forensic team has moved in.

The much anticipated Friday the 13th meeting at Hampden will waste some more time; lacking in any clear outcome, leaving ‘club 12’ as the joker in the pack.

It looks to me that all along the only possible game plan to resurrect ‘frankenhun’; was to employ stalling tactics; as demonstrated by Hampden’s brothers Grimm. The SFA/SPl (funeral) directors have crashed the hearse.

With only 11 SPL clubs likely to start the new season, and Charles Green already stating that he will be grazing sheep at ibrokes (baaaaastard). A year from now; the remaining 11 teams will welcome newco r@ngers back to the fold with their act finally together (having spent a years’ ‘punishment’ being ‘suspended’ for previous sins while obviously dysfunctional and unqualified to participate in any event).

Heads at Hampden will of course roll, though all in a good cause don’t you know, taking the chop (small sacrifice) while saving the ‘peepul’……. all for the long term benefit of the game………with job done, golden handshakes all round…………Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

    Paranoid? maybes aye maybes naw.

As of now, nobody (outside Hampden) really knows the eventual outcome of the circus camped south of the river, in the meantime, the whiff of elephant shite would choke a horse (or is it the whiff of horse shite would choke an elephant??)

The best that i have ever read on here.

    Over and out…

  22. Lennon n Mc….Mjallby – I’d expect the board to push for titles to be reassigned regardless of the outcome of the vote this week and the ultimate fate of rangers old and new. I would also expect the SPL and SFA to do likewise, if they know what’s good for them.

Similarly if rangers are allowed to retain their history by the SFA I’d be seeking recourse in the court of arbitration for sport against both rangers (new), and the SFA/SPL for their part in failing to effectively apply the rules of the game and incorrectly awarding titles, which had a massive financial and sporting effect on our club.

  24. Hector Avocado. Don't prop up corruption. Tacit consent is consent. on

This is a chance in a lifetime for the Celts who are living now, to clean up the game by demanding, by sheer weight of numbers and finances, that we will not accept anything less than just punishments, stolen goods returned and a custodial sentence.

If that does not happen we are condoning perpetuation of a sick system.

Playing in a corrupt system is tacit consent

  25. 2.75m for the player registrations, are they making up these figures on the hoof? We were told just last week that ibrox, the car park and murray park were valued at 4.5m, this leaves 1m for the players.

I suspect Sevco/D&P are angling themselves for the maximum claim possible from the players’ new clubs.
