Alaves got a very rare result at Barca tonight, winning 2 1. It was a very disciplined defence and quick breaks that did the job. We haven’t got to that standard yet, but we will. It just shows you that even Barca can have a bad day at the office.
If we come away with an away goal and don’t ship any more than three goals, I’ll be delighted. :)

I can honestly see Barton asking for his contract to be torn up by Christmas. He is a wealthy man and (somehow) has the platform to carve an easy career in the media down south. Being shown up in Scotland does his reputation no favours and he really could do without the hassle. He no longer has the legs to match his big mouth, if he ever did. Cold nights away to Hamilton Accies against a bunch of boys desperate to humiliate him will be even less appealing than today was. I hope he stays and continues to bleed a huge salary from them, along with Krankjar and Senderos.
What a mess they are in. Instead of targeting a 3 year plan to become competitive in the top flight they have blown a fortune on supposedly top experienced players I suppose a superiority complex and an unspeakable fear of ten-in-a-row does that.
Think we are in for a treat this season. Players look fit and happy, money is pouring into the club and we have a manager who knows what he is doing and crucially, is loving being here.
