    Biggest problem today is we lost what was a very even game. They will celebrate today, but there is a long long way to go. This was not the meek surrender of last season.

     

     

    My opinion we are crying out for a left winger/ inside forward who can drive at his opposite number.

     

     

    A forward who moves around the box and hits the net.

     

     

    A leftback that offers the pacey overlap and recovery down that side.

     

     

    mccarthy to get fit and become the sitter who providers the robust challenges and protection allowing mcgregor to step up the pitch with one of turnbull or rogic.

     

     

    jullian to get back playing and become je can defend his box better than anyone else at the club.

     

     

    Forrest to make a make good recovery and start playing again. Cant depend on 19 year old abada to do it every week.

     

     

    Come on celtic back our manager and get us some quality players.

    Seen very little mention of the stonewall pen we didn’t get, look again at it, Kyogo clips the ball past the keeper and he is then taken out, a stonewall pen and a red all day long, seen it from from three different angles, it’s a pen no question.

     

    I will say it again, wee need a proper granny eating def mid and a mid who can make that pass, hopefully Ange knows a couple from the J league who fit the bill, cos we sure as need them.

    Noticed that big Klopp – in no uncertain terms – criticised elements of Liverpool’s support for recent homophobic behaviour. No mealy mouthed stuff from either Stewart or Klopp.

     

     

    I won’t be waiting on anyone at Sevco making comment about today’s disgrace (to include Gerrard) but I most certainly am waiting on senior Scottish politicians becoming involved. Whether they possess the guts is another matter.

    Sevco Euro opponents Brondby finally win first game out of 7 ( against abysmal Midtjylland ).

     

    Now in 8th place, 10 points behind Copenhagen and 8 behind aforesaid Midtjylland.

    Hopefully lessons have been learned right across the patch.

     

    There are far too many to learn — more than I expected.

     

     

    The fifteen minutes after half time are the issue we lost.

     

    We re-started slowly and they built up a head of steam 3hich they didn’t have in the first half.

     

     

    The game shows how much damage NL and PL have done to the club.

     

    Plus we do not have the resources we once had to rebuild to the desired level.

     

     

    Hopefully AP will learn from today’s disappointment.

     

    We are still unbalanced in the MF if we come up against a MIB inspired high press.

     

     

    CMcG — He is not and never will be a defensive pivot.

     

    DT — Again he has a poor game when up against a better MF.

     

    RC — Cat on a hot tin roof with no consistency or team dynamic.

     

     

    AP made a call regarding the front 3 — no issue.

     

    The problem was that he did not mix it up when they were on the park.

     

     

    However — as always — our biggest issues were throw ins and corners.

     

    With the former we just embarrass ourselves with our lack of energy and options.

     

    With the latter it is the contrast between how we attack and how we defend.

     

    DT taking the corners is just one fail after another — over-compensating with nothing happening between the ears. As for defending we fail to see the oppositions big moves — little or no on-field control of our box.

     

     

    Consequently lots to do.

     

    We are making progress but we need new blood.

     

    Hopefully we will have a productive 48 hours to take us forward.

    Just a wee bit of statistical stuff for a Sunday night.

     

    A few people have quite rightly said that we were 25 points behind Sevco

     

    last season. But a swap round of 3 wins makes that just 7 points.

     

    Consider that we threw 4 points away in 2 games post the Dubai trip.

     

    So these games are crucial in any given season.

     

    I read an article where a guy in England had looked at seasons in the EPL.

     

    He found that 87% of teams don’t lose if they score first and only 13% of teams

     

    came back to win when 1-0 behind. Ok it’s not the same league but it highlights

     

    how damaging missing sitters at 0-0 is.

     

    Seem to remember Edouard doing it in other games against them last season.

    We had enough chances to win the game, we did not win the game, the players need to take some responsibility for their standards. Ps christie os to hot and cold you never know which one will turn up unless your up against sevco then its assured to be freezer like.
