    Played well, but 2-0 is fair. Last thing you need is that ref decision against O’Riley. Hopeless.

    What a time to misfire.

     

     

    Thibaut Courtois has now saved both of the last two Champions League penalties he has faced.

    We lack leaders – both in strength/physicality and someone who will shout at the players to get moving

     

     

    Last 5 mins we gave up and stopped running

     

     

    5 mins or so after the first goal we were all over the place

     

     

    We need that player in January

    I remember us always being suspect at penalties

     

     

    Of course, this is statistically impossible , i just remember the misses

     

     

    All I would say is we don’t get many so maybe that is a factor

     

     

    Even Mark Reid missed one

    Missing a penalty in two consecutive games is just sloppy. Really sloppy.

    HT and we’re 2 down.

     

     

    We will tire and make subs in the second half so hopefully RM ease up at that point.

     

     

    Plenty of good play and some decent shots on their goal, the missed pen being our best chance.

     

     

    That said, you can play all the lovely football going but if you ship cheap goals then I’m afraid you deserve what comes.

     

     

    The goals tonight have been dreadful.

    Haven’t read back, not going to, we are not disgracing ourselves, against probably the best team on the planet, all three pens were pens IMO, I will keep saying it, and make no apologies for it, win the league, replace players with better players, if we don’t back the manager we will lose him and I honestly don’t want to lose him, he is a breath of fresh air but it’s not like fast food, these things take time.

    A more disciplined defensive performance so far but they’re a very talented attacking team who have looked very comfortable against a team sitting back

     

     

    We’ve still maintained an attacking threat, 2-1 would have been a fair score at half time

     

     

    I think there are still signs of improvement, we don’t look hugely out of our depth, and we’re playing with some confidence.

    We need a real quality striker and hard central midfielder like Broonie in January. Abada is still too light weight for this level but he doesn’t hide and did well for the penalty.

    look at Madrid players all over the ref for decisions – we need to do that and fight for decisions and pressure the ref! need winners.

     

     

    overall its a delight watching this team – two more signings and we can do some damage.

    Why is someone who supports rangers on BT Sports she is another one that gets well looked after ,as for the game no use in blaming some of our players,they are up against one of the best football sides in Europe,but we need to put these scoring opportunities into the net .

    No Forster, no good EL outcome in 2019 or a LC

     

     

    I have the game on now. Everyone agrees second pen isn’t

     

     

    Also, everyone thinks it was a great save from Courtois

    Excellent performance? Countless misplaced passes when under little to no pressure, balls repeatedly being crossed to team mates behind them, naive defending, lack of composure in front of goal and a terrible penalty.

     

     

    Other than that we have been great?

    A penalty against one of the best goalies in the world at the Bernebei is a lot more difficult than one at fir park but we still should make the keeper work to save it. That pen was the perfect height for Courtois.

    Brian McClair hit 2 penalties vs Rangers hard to that height in the same game.

     

     

    It was a great save

    Take some of our fecking chances ffs!

    If we could only take our chances , surely ange can see that’s a position we can improve , but we are not disgracing ourselves so far .against the european champions
