Relax and you’re finished, Belfast awash with Seville spirit

655

The day after the opening Champions League qualifier of the season can get a bit tasty on the blog but business has been pedestrian since last night’s professional performance by the men in hoops.  If you wanted to be pushy, you could point to a couple of glimpses of goal which fell Cliftonville’s way as a result of Celtic defenders being dragged out of position, but that’s about the measure of an unfamiliar defence at any time.

Congratulations to Georgios Samaras, who scored in Celtic’s first five European away games last season and obliged again yesterday.  A remarkable record for a player who is never employed as a penalty box striker.

It would also be tardy not to congratulate Celtic and Cliftonville supporters on their exemplary behaviour throughout the day.  After recent disturbances in Belfast there were fears that a group of travelling Celtic supporters could find trouble in the city but the casual observer could be forgiven if he thought we were in Seville again.

Maybe Belfast council should invite us over every July to spread a bit of cheer. We do football very well, in all respects.

Neil Lennon can now kick back and relax with a formality of a second and the next round not for another…. 12 days!!  Maybe not.  12 days is not a lot of time to do anything in football, so every day, including match day against Cliftonville, will need to be meticulously planned to ensure we are ready to face an opponent who could well be midseason. Relax, and you’re finished in this business.

“I do not think he is a Kojo alter ego though. Kojo is a contributor who skates on pretty thin at times but he makes me laugh , and I think he is a real Celt.”

Jimbo – I think you are spot on.

Not sure how long you have been posting, but you will probably know the Coterie have had numerous colorful characters over the years.

From Collie the rhyming dug, to Fargo, the Boss, haven’t heard from him in Yonks but he made predictions on transfers & stuff and was pretty accurate.

The TSD has taken the coterie persona and has infiltrated the site to espouse Anglo/American extreme Right Wing propaganda.

Of coure Kojo is on the Right Wing and he’s had his edgy moments but I’ve never found him Nefarious. Paul67 knows him I believe.

Of course to a greater or lesser extent we can be protected on this site by anonymity but it would be good if Mr67, or a ghuy in the know, or a moderator to confirm the situation.

Trolling comes with the internet like pick-pockets on the underground and crowded places, you know they’re there, you take precautions but insidiously smart and it’s not obvious who they are.

“Another tip, the money you would have spent on fags, put it in a jar, after a month, you’ll be shocked.”

    —————————————————————————-

I can vouch that this method works.

When I gave up my 20 a day habit in 2003, I put the money I would have used to buy fags in a tin.

After a month I counted how much I had in it, and I was shocked.

    There was £2.50

That’s when I realised just how many fags I tapped off other people!

Mood swings, really irritable, snappy are some of the effects that people can have. I think there is also a story of someone who tried to kill his wife having went on them.

I know someone who was on them and they didn’t smoke (in that way there were great) but the side effects like mood swings were worse.

I read Alan Carrs(not the comiedian) book easy way to stop before i attempted it,

I relly really wanted it though and that was the difference this time as i was attending hospital on a regular basis for other probs then sitting at night making myself not well, a light suddenly came on in my head.

I’m 4 years off them come August.

Dont wait till you have to, do it now while the choice is still in your own hands.

I will be thinking of you, change your routine in the morning and after meals

no luck involved my friend just a determined effort will do and many on here will support you.

Ps I will put £2 a week(not a lot I know) into a dish for TKF which will be donated at the end of the season as a wee incentive to you.

That’s he reason you need to talk to your GP. They are best placed to discuss if you can go on them.

I experienced nausea in the morning if I didn’t eat anything before my tablet.

Good luck with the fags, gave up a few months ago, was off them for years, stupidly started again, and only lasted a few months this time, have cut down on the vino mind you, one thing at a time.

Not sure if you are aware that I’m Polish, live very close to Warsaw. I know Moscow becouse traveled there few times in the past due to work business.

Working on the new project for petrochemical giant and see small chance to be in Moscow again in two maybe three months. All depending on the contract progress. The end of the issue might be null.

If I go to Moscow again, I will definitely take a train to Peeter and see the sites. Will meet you with a pleasure, of course if iffs turn right direction.

It’s been cooler this year that the past five summers here, no hit 50 yet and more than half way through july, still we have another 8 or so weeks of searing heat, then it will settle down to low 30s.

    You do get used to it, it’s a dry heat, no got the humidity like britland, so you don’t sweat too much……apart from the drink commin oot >}

I am sorry to see you lost your sister so young. My mother and brother were both in their early 60s. They were young enough but your sister at her age with young kids is tragic. No words of mine can even begin to say what you and they must and do go through.
