We’ve seen a few difficult games against Hamilton Accies in recent years, including what proved to be a costly draw after being denied a late winner at New Douglas Park, but we’ve never met them in this form.
Hamilton have the longest unbeaten run in Scotland. They lost their opening league game of the season, at home to Inverness, but have won seven and drawn two of their subsequent nine games. Their 0-4 win away to Motherwell last week was a display of sharp, organised football – and remember, Motherwell took at point at Celtic Park the previous weekend.
Alex Neil will have no intentions of leaving pointless tomorrow. This is the game he and his players will have been waiting for since the fixtures were announced four months ago. Their four SPLF away games: wins at St Mirren, Partick and Motherwell, and a draw at Tannadice, has been preparation for Celtic Park.
If Celtic have a Europa League hangover, Accies will boss them. Forget the lowly status of the club, respect is needed if we are the get the desired result and performance required.
I’m running the Great Scottish Run in aid of Celtic Foundation tomorrow morning, which presents a, erm, personal hygiene challenge for the game. It’ll be a full can of deodorant day. If you have a £1 or two for the fundraising, you can help here.

The ole Waccy- Baccies will be a stern test for the ole Sieve.
Is there a scrammel the day

Paul
you are surely not suggesting that a team with a 50 million quid a year turnover should not be expecting to beat hamilton Accies
expectation management gone too far!
Agree with Paul’s opener. There are a good section of Celtic Supporters who believe we have a divine right to win all our domestic games. When you are playing against a professional well trained, well motivated team, you will get nothing soft. Points have to be earned and both team & fans need to be up for this game tomorrow.l
Performance and result two things we have not been getting consistently
enough .Hamilton may prove to be a difficult hurdle ,but if we get them both
we should prevail.

Terrible spacing in my last post…
;-))
With regard to kick off times, what about the 1st half kicks off at 1pm, and the 2nd half kicks off at 5pm.
This way, everyone gets to see at least part of the game.
We could even introduce a half season ticket.

Agree. I am looking forward to the game tomorrow. I have a feeling it will be a good open game, with a few goals.
Tamrabam, Yes, I expect Celtic to win but only if they approach game with the right attitude. We have seen European hangovers in the past, if we are not right we could very easily drop points to-morrow. The alternative is that we send Accountants to compare Turnover & Balance Sheets and just get awarded the 3 points and not play the game at all.
Fully expect (sorry Corkcelt) the Celtic to win comfortably tomorrow. Nothing to do with disregarding Hamilton’s achievements. Just think Accies will attack and consequently we will use that space to create goal scoring chances.
TBB- or the second half starts at 1 pm, and the first at 5.
THat could save a few unnecessary journeys, dependin’ on the ole Final Score

What a negative answer Hamilton have been playing against the teams that Strachan stopped going to watch because they played rubbish against each other and he could not learn anything,if you are daft enough to watch two of the diddy teams playing each other you would wonder why we dont win every game by a large margin,Hamilton are piss poor but no doubt will try and raise their game tomorrow, but thats been the way of it for all our history,if we struggle then Delia should get back to the land of the whale murderers A S A P
we should be winning with ease by at least 4 and on a good day a lot more, tell me any p.of their players who would get a game in our youth sides
It’s 11 v 11 but ask the question … Would any of their team get in ours with an obvious no as the answer
So it’s down to attitude and organisation

Will be round to visit you soon. Need anything brought round?
Dbia,
What the heck is a countant?
Watching matches for over 60 years, certainly in the majority of cases the big boys beat the little guys but I’ve seen so many upsets that I take nothing for granted. IMO if we play well we will win, if we don’t play well we might not win.
Tamrabam,
The only guy in the world who translates ‘respect’ into ‘wur gonna get beat’.

If you don’t get a hot shower afterwards, you’ll catch your death of cold at the game (not literally btw!).
