It’s difficult to analyse Celtic’s performance last night. For much of the game the players were clearly enjoying themselves and should have been rewarded with more goals, but Dunfermline were incredibly porous in central midfield. Ki and Commons were able to stage a passing master-class which was pleasing on the eye.
The fact that the deluge of goals didn’t come is not particularly concerning. Celtic don’t make a habit of profligacy in front of goals, making chances is more of a problem, so it would be a mistake to read too much into one game.
While Dunfermline were out of the contest for most of the evening they also retained two strikers, something we seldom see from SPL visitors at Celtic Park, so that fact that they were able to construct an attempt at goal five minutes from time was not surprising.
Celtic got what they needed from the game but Danny Lennon, who brings St Mirren to Celtic Park on Saturday, will also have seen enough to let him form a decent game-plan, especially if Celtic play a 4-4-2 with two wingers, as they finished the game yesterday.

ttt,
I still chuckle at the idea that lawwell is sitting chideing himself for no managing that :oD))))
Aluka will probably be a Naisy Lite.
They’ll leave him up the park and pump balls over the top for him to use his acknowledged speed.
His finishing will be hot and miss, like Novo, but he only needs to get lucky once in a game.
Sone musta made a few poun at Pittodrie that’s all I can say.
hot = hit>
Hi for what’s it’s worth Sally and chic lost a lovely son in a motorbike accident a few years ago…the funeral service held in the local bishop ton chapel at which chick stood up and spoke eloquenty at the loss of his lovely boy and son.

Canamalar @22.32,
I read that post last night that condemned the GB for singing stand up if you hate Rangers.
Where have these people been? Celtic supporters have sung that song long before the oldest members of the GB were in short troosers. This type of song is part of football rivalry up and down the country. Is this what we have now become? We blame a defined group of supporters for singing a basic football song that has pre-existed that group of supporters and is a common football rivalry song?
Me thinks we had an infiltrator last night. Or perhaps it was just an impressionable individual who has bought into the untruths and skewed commentary regarding the GB. I hope it was the former.
Sone pays for tickets into next game at Ibrox for the whole British Army including the Gurkhas and NAAFI.
If Aluko had joined us, would he have been a Sone bhoy?

Aberdeen’s Ryan Jack is one of only 2, i think, to have been sent off TWICE this season
strange considerin he is so young (and indeed, so small)
Ryzy, they call him, in the team.
He played v CFC u19’s couple weeks back – fast and talented wee player – but very small, tho stocky.
Seen much o him?
Other guy i saw before was O’Shaugnessy. Seen him?
Good big tall CB, again quite young.
Wullie Muller and Peter Weir were at that match. How WM has changed ! Does not look even remotely like he did once upon a time. Hardly recognised him.

I propose that in future if anybody can’t make a night out it’s referred to as ‘doing a token’ as in ‘Kingoh’s doing a token on Friday’!
“Sone says his work here is done…..and with that he exited, ‘Stage Left’, heid held high, arm in arm with the ghost of MISTER Chuck Norris”.

The Gurkha tickets would be confiscated by MPs :-(
Gurkha’s: much used, ill-abused, nicest people to a tee. Seen and heard a regiment at St Cyrus beach (of all places) as evidently they seem to head around there every so often to repair a footbridge and met several about fifteen years ago (at the same place) and each of them are quite frightening in their attire, yet relaxed and in turn relaxing in their attitude and openness.
