Result achieved for Celtic but Danny Lennon will see promise for Saturday

903

It’s difficult to analyse Celtic’s performance last night.  For much of the game the players were clearly enjoying themselves and should have been rewarded with more goals, but Dunfermline were incredibly porous in central midfield.  Ki and Commons were able to stage a passing master-class which was pleasing on the eye.

The fact that the deluge of goals didn’t come is not particularly concerning.  Celtic don’t make a habit of profligacy in front of goals, making chances is more of a problem, so it would be a mistake to read too much into one game.

While Dunfermline were out of the contest for most of the evening they also retained two strikers, something we seldom see from SPL visitors at Celtic Park, so that fact that they were able to construct an attempt at goal five minutes from time was not surprising.

Celtic got what they needed from the game but Danny Lennon, who brings St Mirren to Celtic Park on Saturday, will also have seen enough to let him form a decent game-plan, especially if Celtic play a 4-4-2 with two wingers, as they finished the game yesterday.

I read that this morning. I fully get what he was saying.

For some people, there is a somewhat overwhelming need to connect them to us. This, on here, certainly and more often than not comes in the form of wanting a disassociation from them, which is fair do’s.

However: I think some while back someone (may have been Paul) posted regarding the Celtic support providing the greatest stamp of approval for an orc newco by turning up in tens of thousands for a ‘derby’, thus legitimising the rivalry, the team and their **bloomin eck, can’t think, can only hear Spongebob in the background**, erm, right to take a place within the SPL.

The fact that when we’re playing A.N.Other FC, but sing about thems, somewhat irks me in that it does in fact remind me that whoever it was that posted our support essentially supporting the notion of a newco orc fc.

Treat them with the contempt and indeed the silence they deserve. Celebrate their demise when it happens by all means, but please, don’t associate us with them by singing about them in games where their foul name has no place.

No I would be the old fella, slow at the old typing and the like, still fast enough in the head mind you, just takes too long to relay the thoughts to the keyboard, and half way through the track has dissapeared, now on ocassion I put that down to too much vino which is a good excuse, but other times I call it getting old.

I know you did, Dylan is in the under 19s, he played a stormer agin Barca the last game, and was too tired to play tonight, or so the comentators said, wouldn’t have thought he would have been tired myself, but they said that he may well be in contention for the bench come saturday, just to clear that up :>)

You’d probably be very surprised at songs and chants that irk me, and you’d probably be a wee bit surprised how irksome people can be.

read it today, and everything in it made sense.

Last night after the game, somne one was on here berateing the Green Brigade for starting singing anti rangers songs, a supposed Celtic supporter.

So if we’re to stop offending anyone surely we should stop offending our own first, oh and after that where does it stop ??

Easy to start something, problem is knowing how to stop it.
