Result achieved for Celtic but Danny Lennon will see promise for Saturday

903

It’s difficult to analyse Celtic’s performance last night.  For much of the game the players were clearly enjoying themselves and should have been rewarded with more goals, but Dunfermline were incredibly porous in central midfield.  Ki and Commons were able to stage a passing master-class which was pleasing on the eye.

The fact that the deluge of goals didn’t come is not particularly concerning.  Celtic don’t make a habit of profligacy in front of goals, making chances is more of a problem, so it would be a mistake to read too much into one game.

While Dunfermline were out of the contest for most of the evening they also retained two strikers, something we seldom see from SPL visitors at Celtic Park, so that fact that they were able to construct an attempt at goal five minutes from time was not surprising.

Celtic got what they needed from the game but Danny Lennon, who brings St Mirren to Celtic Park on Saturday, will also have seen enough to let him form a decent game-plan, especially if Celtic play a 4-4-2 with two wingers, as they finished the game yesterday.

    Hello,

This message may be coming to you as a surprise but all I need right now is your help. Few days back I made an unannounced vacation trip to Madrid,Spain with my family . Everything was fine until last night when we got mugged on our way back to the hotel. They made away with all our cash, credit cards and cell phones but thank God we still have our lives and passports; it’s such a horrible experience. Another shocking thing is that the hotel manager has been unhelpful to us for unknown reasons…he has restricted us from some services and believe me, I’m writing you from a local library. We reported to the police and after writing down some statements that’s the last we heard from them.

I need your help,I need you to loan me some money to settle our bills here so we can get back home tomorrow. I’ll refund the money as soon as we get back. All I need is £1,450.Let me know if you can get me the money then I tell you how to get it to me.

You can wire me the money via western union since I still have my Passport as ID with me,

    Here is my info below:

    Receiver name ****** ******

Location Address : LOCUTORIO CH C/ Manuel Aleixandre 6 Madrid, 28045

  2. Going to edinburgh on saturday and missing the game, staying on George St, hoping to “jook” the missus and Christmas shopping and catch the game, anyone any idea of celtic friendly pubs near that would be showing it?

    It sure did happen.

We were also stopped coming off the boat in our supporters’ buses in Stranraer and had to complete documents including providing your name, date of birth, occupation etc to ensure we could be allowed into Scotland.

Some really funny answers were given back on those cards then. They would in turn get their revenge by holding the whole bus back so that we were late or missed the match.

I didnt know that and am quite surprised.

I recall asking a Glasgow friend on the way to a game before the last election about Celtic supporters alleigences – and he warned against the SNP, citing something in their manifesto about getting rid of (the old adage) catholic schools.

They have made their bed and there is no going back now.

I would say you are in for ‘interesting’ times because we have just passed the crossroads when everyone was on the bus.

According to (albeit a very small) sample of bhoys on here, come the next election the SNP could well be a protestant party.

Where does that leave their politics after the catholic vote has transferred back to Labour?

If they are like what they are like now – what the hell are going to manifest into after thats happened.

    Some scary possibilities there.

  7. Neil Lennon is (and always will be) a Celtforlife (*O*)

always have problems sitting quiet when we score!! Mibbee give it a miss and get text updates!

  8. Kikinthenaks,

Because its a home game, you will struggle.

Try phoning Dropkick Murphy’s who may have it on, so long as it is city centre , the only hassle you get is if the rugby is on, or some crew on a stag trip wanting to watch Blackburn / Wigan or some other s*** from the best league in the world !

  9. the long wait is over

will do, as the game is at 3 not sure if it will be shown anywhere, but thanks.

Got a call from my Dad last night to say he had won 2 tickets from the local rag, for a Celtic night at Eastwood Park Theatre. Anyway, went along puzzled about what it was about and just back from the eveningt which was effectively a publicity evening for a new Celtic book called “We are Celtic supporters”. Author Richard Purden, Des Dillon, writer of the play “I’m no a Billy, He’s a Tim” were there chatting to the audience.

Well I say it was a book pubilicity event, but Bertie Auld was also there, and took over the night with wonderful, humourous and humbling stories.

    Fantasic night. Was in raptures!

  12. Barca both attack and defend as a team–all 11. The goalkeeper is as happy with a pass as any defender. If there were 2 Celts on the ball then there were 3 Barca boys round them, denying space. They are taught to hunt in packs and to pass very quickly.Having said that, they probably are the best in the world at their age. Celtic will improve the kids. It’s hard to see where any more improvement can be got from that Barca squad.

Of course, Celtic would never do such a thing, would we?
