It seems harsh. This is a club burdened by their Champions League history. About 8 years ago I was at Glasgow airport waiting at the gate for my New York flight when quickly I was surrounded by 21 American men waiting on the same flight. Unusual sight. Struck up a conversation with the one nearest me. Turns out they were all from Texas. All golfers. All going home. Story is that they were on a golfing trip to Scotland and Carnoustie it was. They couldnt afford St. Andrews for some reason and had been at Carnoustie for 2 weeks! playing golf every day staying in some hotel. Never went to Dundee or Aberdeen or Edinburgh or anywhere and now were heading home. I hate golf and golfers.
