The email was to alert you to forthcoming release of new CQN book – Caesar & The Assassin – managing Celtic after Jock Stein.

Billy McNeill and Davie Hay with Alex Gordon – published end October.

Davie Hay will be on CQN at this time and hopefully will have a date for Billy soon. Y

the island which consists of the irish republic and the occupied territory are geographically part of that group which make up the british isles. It’s neither a political nor national reference

.Some brits most certainly refer to the islands of Britain and Ireland as the british isles. It is a throwback to colonialism. Irish people have always regarded the term “british isles” as insulting. Check any map which was not made in UK and you will note that the term you espouse is not used.

I don’t need a lecture from you (or any other brit) as I taught geography for over 30 years.

My only dispute with the argentine claim is that the Brits had settled the Falklands before there was even a country called Argentina.
