Poor post. I am no fan of Johannsen but surely we don’t want any Celtic players injured.
In fact I would take it a stage further and say I don’t like to see any player injured.
Well ok almost any. lol.

Well,…..about time we got Craig Gordon on a longer contract. At his very best tonight and most certainly our man of the match. Effe at fault for the first and Izzy giving away the foul, although it was a terrific strike. Given our overall display I am happy with the draw despite having money on at 7-1. Such is life.
Well played Bhoys… a deserved away point, against the top ranked team !

Shocking performance against a team that are no better than cowdenbeath, they fluked their 6 group wins last year and were lucky to hump sjax. And how sevilla only beat tgem 4-3 indtead of 40-3 is beyond me.
FFS. The negativity in this match is s joke. This was the hardest game in the group. The trouble with good teams is they dont stand back and let you plsy. Well done celtic!

A 2-2 draw away from home against the Group Favourites. At least I thought it was until I came on CQN. Obviously, the opposition should organise themselves in a way that allows us to play the kind of football that just MIGHT satisfy some on here.
Let me tell you moaners something. Talking about how poor our team plays does NOT make you a more professional judge of the game.
That was not an entertaining game but it was a very good result.

Easy to see why we’re not in with the crème, shades of Maribor and the manager chases mythical Euro football on a shoe string budget, with a side that are informat incapable of closing the door.

But strange substitutions….who would have thought that bringing on Stokes was the right thing to do at that stage of the game? Tonev? Surely Kayal or Biton?
Whatever we say about this guy Deila, it sure hasn’t been dull since he came.
Twinbhoy on
I would have taken a point at the start of the game. We are a very poor team really. My thoughts on Deila are that he is a longer term appointment, the board see a future in ‘his way’ and (financially) it’s all about the survival of the club in the medium term – given the dying clumpany, SFA, lack of way out, rampant corruption.. etc.
This is a business strategy which is not going down well with the support – but i’m guessing that the board are trying to stay.. stay with us, we have the best interests of the club at heart, we want to develop from within, the panache will come. HH

Those of you who think that the team’s performance tonight was clueless are exactly that.
We are vulnerable at the back, inconsistent but combatative in midfield and dangerous when going forward, a bit like our opponents tonight.
This is our level, let’s enjoy it, but get real, we do not have the resources to compete in the CL on a consistent basis

Some guys on here no eff all about football. Only interest in making smart ass comments trying to look clever. That was a tough gig out there, the Bhoys played with courage and determination. Yes Gordon kept us in it but we scored 2 and created another 2 or 3 great chances. I know Izzy was at fault for second goal but overall he played well. Gordon MOM. Virgil, Denayer, Wakaso were also very good. We are getting better and will continue to improve. Overall I’m very satisfied with performance & result.

A good result for us. And signs of progress. Something to build on. Some comments on here have been well short of “Celtic class” tonight.

2-2 in Salzburg against a team who played very well in Europe last year, that’l do me, it wasn’t pretty but we got the result, well played Celtic.
The team will need many more games before it clicks it seems to me, positives Wakaso, Gordon and Scepovic looks like an intelligent striker patterned with the right men he’ll score goals.
With a bit more steel in the middle we could have taken all three points tonight,RSB play in a way that leaves them vulnerable at the back but make no mistake they are as dangerous away from home as they are at home!
Great result! Not too happy with the performance tho. Not sure why, but a number of players looked very leggy all game, and our possession and movement were poor. I’m pleased to get an away point.

Johansen is not a centre mid, hope Ronny realises this before it costs him his job.
If a team hits the woodwork 4 or 5 times and don’t win, you could make a case for the other team being lucky, but you cannot say Celtic were lucky because Craig Gordon brought off a string of top class saves. That is what he is there for.
It’s a bit like saying a team was lucky to win 5-0 because the striker scored all 5 goals.
Some people need to learn to give credit where it is due.

When are the group stages of the Petrofac Cup? Any glamour away days coming up in Scotland’s fourth least meaningless competition?
Canny wait…..
What do you mean it’s only for diddy teams and new clumpanies….
I’m amazed there are so many Celtic supporters who are better qualified than Ronny D. to manage the team,
Very very good draw against a team whose passing, movement and pressing was a good bit better than ours.
Big Craig Gordon MOTM, we very nearly stole the game if Mubaraks first touch would have been better.
