SCOTT BROWN MISSING IN AWARDS LINE-UP

0

CELTIC’S influential skipper Scott Brown was a surprising omission when the list of PFA nominations for the Premiership Player of the Year award was announced.

The 31-year-old midfielder has been in outstanding form this season with the Hoops heading for a silverware clean sweep for only the fourth time in their history.

However, Brown, who has also returned to the international arena, has been overlooked.

But his team-mates have dominated the four-man shortlist.

Thirty-two goal Moussa Demble, Scott Sinclair, the Celtic players and fans’ choice as top man, and the rejuvenated Stuart Armstrong take three of the places.

Aberdeen winger Jonny Hayes is the only ‘outsider’ to gatecrash the Hoops’ party.
