Sevco need clarity on SPL vote more than the actual votes

1395

News that Dundee United will vote against allocating a place in next season’s SPL to Sevco confirms what we suggested yesterday, that sentiment has swung against the notion.  Motherwell’s innovative idea of allowing fans (who have already expressed overwhelming opposition to the idea) a vote is further evidence that even hard-pressed clubs are prepared to make financially difficult decisions.  Suggestions that the Motherwell board should grow a pair and take responsibility themselves have some merit.

Stewart Milne has denied BBC reports that Aberdeen have decided to vote against but I expect this is a matter of due process more than any genuine indecision.

There was a feeling this morning that matters could be brought to a head sooner than 4 July if enough clubs publicly declared against Sevco.  This would suit Charles Green’s company as they would be able to prepare offers to Rangers players (who they are able to sign) knowing where they are likely to end up.  If they are forced to wait until 4 July, Sevco will not know what squad requirements they will need for next season before making a decision on what Rangers players to offer employment to.

More than SPL football, Sevco need clarity.  A rush to declare against them might seem harsh but it would be enormously beneficial rather than being forced to wait a further 12 days.

  1. I, for one, will not miss the unjust decisions from the twisted whim of masonic referees.

I will not miss the naked bias of partial officials.

I will not miss the parochial intolerance of twisted bucky swilling violent bigots.

I will not miss the threat of random sectarian violence. The juggernaut of hatred that smothers the atmosphere with a savage malevolence, or the Moloch like bigotry that asphyxiates a child’s innocence.

I will not miss their warped pre-conceived ideas about Catholic schools.

I will not miss their derogatory slurs of my peoples religious belief’s.

I will not miss the deranged obsession with paedophilia.

I will not miss the sick chants of their warped fanbase or their desecration of our clubs greatest figures from Stein to Tommy Burns.

I will not miss the lynch-mob mentality that inevitably erupts by consequence of their inability to accept any criticism whatsoever.

I will not miss the atrocious profligacy of their criminal custodians and the disgraced stewards of their rancid club.

I will not miss their flagrant disregard for rules.

I will not miss how they disgraced Scottish football and national odium for their felonious deeds.

I will not miss their up to their knees clovenfooted Belial like Yobs.

I will not miss their desecrating of monuments, their smashing up of toilets and stadiums, their sacking of cities, their crazed demonic gladiatorial combat with police in piss streaked streets.

I will not miss their mobile sectarian zoo, travelling, oversea to shame our nation: like cryptozoological curiosity’s with cocksure bravado and cultural chauvinism as they prance around with their union jack plumage of their feckless feathered tribe.

I will not miss the sneaky journalists, Minty’s flunky’s with laptop’s, fawning over their great institution with their sycophantic captation- or the sinister backsliding of these low and mean hypocrites, banging away at keyboards with lycanthropic rage towards Celtic: with their endless vilification and calumny of our club for the sake of theirs.

I will not miss the Devil’s acre, that dunghill of Orangeism, the menacing pantomime of faux empire. Soon to be nothing more than a mausoleum, history buried, interned in the abandoned Cromlech over which the toll of the knell will signal- and the Lich gates of the Govan Charnel House closed forever as the tumulus black clouds gather over head.

    I will not miss them.

I know the conditions aren’t helping but everything is coming back off him and much of it into dangerous areas. Not impressed so far.

  3. More interesting stuff from RTC, Also questioning Duff & Phelps methods.

Still no banking facilities for Greens Newco, how can a business operate without a bank account? Even a musing as to whether the deal has been concluded.

    Great goal by Lahm.

One of the many reasons for Celtic staying silent is to stop giving some idiot the excuse to bash in your head or the head of any any other Tim they encounter.

  8. Good evening friends. Much as I love Sammi to bits – and I really do – I hope Germany crank it up in the 2nd half and score another 3 or 4. Quarter Finals of Euro’s and Greece playing for penalties from the off. I’ve worked hard all week (honestly) and should be entertained on a Friday night. Rany over – come on Germany.

Alternatively, a Sami hat trick would be nice!

    Later…
