SFA prepare to suspend Rangers

634

Scottish FA chief executive, Stewart Regan, this evening announced that the Association would not appeal against the Court of Session decision to rule in Rangers favour over the 12 month player registration ban imposed by a Judicial Panel for not paying social taxes between May 2011 and February 2012.  Rangers didn’t pay social taxes in the period since February 2012, the period during which they launched their appeal.

I hear Rangers today served the ruling on the SFA and that the SFA have responded by informing the club that, under Fifa auspices, fresh proceedings will be raised against them for taking a civil court action, which will lead to a minimum punishment of Rangers being suspended from the Association.

The initial case will be referred back to the SFA Appellate Tribunal.  Regan reminded us that Rangers appeal to the civil courts broke two SFA Articles and five Fifa statues.  The tone and content of his statement demonstrated the frustration at the behaviour of the errant club.  He suggested the SFA would tell clubs [Rangers] that they must accept and abide by the Articles of Association at next week’s AGM.

While it appears the Association is about to get tough, they are in the middle of a problem of the making of the SFA and, in particular, Mr Doncaster of the SPL.  Here is the problem…

Rangers believe they are needed.  This belief is absolute and has been reinforced by the people running our game, the very same people who have been rag-dolled by Rangers in recent weeks.

The SPL waited almost three months for Rangers to respond to their demand for information into what is allegedly the biggest scam in British sporting history.  Despite this, throughout that time, the SPL chief executive campaigned vigorously for a Newco-Rangers to become the first club in Scottish football history to be parachuted into the top league.

It took the SPL 11 weeks to set a deadline.  No wonder Clark, Whitehouse and Green think they can play hardball.

During this time the SFA, who are the only body competent to investigate if Rangers illegally registered players across all domestic competitions, have taken no action.  The SFA president, who was an executive director of Rangers when they introduced the controversial EBTs and who received and EBT himself, has remained in position throughout.

Time for strong leadership, Mr Regan.  Mr Doncaster, there’s always a career in the law.

I find it hard to believe that FollyFolly and the Dark Mingbats of this world can incite violence and arson, yet go unquestioned. Scotland is stumbling towards a terrible outcome.

These people ARE very dangerous. They are like a protean paramilitary outfit in some benighted country to whom the authorities give the nod to and to whom they turn a blind eye because a): they surreptitiously approve]b): they fear them] c): they’ve allowed them free rein and now they can’t be challenged] d): they have the media’s tacit support.

They have one argument alone : violence. They are deaf to reason. That is why they are so dangerous; because they suck everyone else into their orbit of hatred and in the end you have to defend yourself against them.

When even the judiciary fear thugs like this,a society has reached a bad state of affairs.

If this sounds familiar,it’s because it is.

It can’t happen here? Yes it can. It has already started, and it needs to be brought under control by the powers that be before it goes any further.

Any result against that poisonous regime should be celebrated like winning the European Cup. Virtually the first thing Thatcher did when she took power was to massively increase the pay of the police and the army. That was enough of a warning shot for me…..

Invercelt – Thanks for the your response and thoughts on some of the questions that i posed with regards to the 2nd World War.I mostly agree with the points that you have made, however there are one or two issues that i beg to differ about.

The first thing that i wish to state is this – Hitler himself was the best weapon that the Allied countries(Russian included)ever had.

Hitler believed that he was a military genuis…He was anything but.

Posted below is an article that i found to be both a very good read, and an excellent source regarding the deluded, evil, demented fool that was Hitler:

    http://www.historynet.com/hitlers-greatest-blunders.htm

The main point of yours that i disagree with,is the role played by the Soviets in the Allied defeat of Nazi Germany.

What i intend to do next,is to take a look at the numbers of casualties that occured,as a result of that horrific conflict,to try to gauge where the war was actually fought, lost and won.

I shall post my findings and conclusions tomorrow,or maybe over the weekend.

    MadraRua – Congratulations.

    Goodnight to all Celtic supporters.

    Before I do-before I’m corrected,in other words,three stand out for me.

1- Dunkirk. Should have pressed home his advantage.

2- Eastern Front. Should have concentrated on Moscow and Leningrad, ignoring Stalingrad. It,and the oil-rich region, would have followed.

3-Declaring war on the USA. Possibly hoping that by doing so,Japan would respond by attacking USSR in the east,so helping him out. Japan never at any time assisted Germany.

Now off to be educated. Cheers.

Stumbled on this thread on Rangers Media (I think they beieve they’re a step-up from FF):

“Rangers should magnanimously offer to not sign any catholics, so theres still a partial embargo, which should hopefully appease the bigots somewhat.

No doubt BBC Scotland would find some way to put a negative spin on this, but thats only to be expected.

NORWICH CITY have put Neil Lennon in the frame to replace ex-Celtic team-mate Paul Lambert as their new boss.

SunSport understands Canaries chief executive and former Hoops marketing chief David McNally is a huge admirer of the title-winning Celts manager.

McNally knows Lennon from when they were at Parkhead together during the Martin O’Neill era and is sure the 40-year-old is capable of taking the Premier League by storm.

But Celtic will not entertain any approach while the fans will also be desperate for him to stay.

Also under consideration is ex-Celtic and Norwich star Malky Mackay, who last season took Cardiff City to the Carling Cup Final and the Championship play-offs, and Birmingham boss Chris Hughton.

But it’s the interest in Lennon that was the dramatic development last night after Lambert quit to take the Aston Villa vacancy, after being told that he was wanted to replace the axed Alex McLeish

Hmmmmm…has this guy got cash or is he another Whytey?

    (from the Herald)

The Rangers Fans Fighting Fund want Charles Green to get his “cards on the table” before they encourage supporters to buy season tickets.Duff & Phelps, the administrators, published the company voluntary arrangement on Tuesday but even if that is rejected by creditors, Green’s consortium may take over by buying the club’s assets.

However, the RFFF is concerned about the lack of detail about how the former Sheffield United chief executive’s consortium plan to fund the club. Green has pledged £8.5m but the CVA revealed that £8.3m of that is a loan to be repaid with interest by 2020. In the short term, there is uncertainty around how the club will pay players when they revert to full wages today, having taken cuts of up to 75% since March.

Andy Kerr, a RFFF member, said: ”There are key questions to be asked about finances and investors and there is a direct correlation between the answers to those questions and season tickets. Without assurances and confidence, it will be difficult for us to throw our weight behind asking people to pay their £500 or whatever for season tickets.”

Interesting vingette on the Today (R4) programme yesterday, the sports presenter was inteviewing a Football expert from Deloitte (About player wage inflation in England). At the end the presenter asked him a question:

With Portsmouth and R@ngers gone, what are the chances of it happening to a Premiership team?

It shouldn’t happen, the Clubs get £40M from the league, Portsmouth was just bad management…

    He is probably correct-strictly speaking.

The parachute payments will help too.

But the big problem arises when these run out,and income from The Championship or League One is all that is available to cover running costs AND service debt.

For instance,Wigan are £72m in debt. Had they been-undeservedly,IMO-relegated in May,how long do you think they would survive?

How long do you give Bolton?

What happens when the sugar-daddy owners chuck it? I don’t mean the likes of Abramovich;what about the owners of clubs like Wolves,,or even Villa-had enough of being bled dry,and want to leave a couple of quid to their kids after all?

How much do Middlesboro owe to Steve Gibson? In cold, hard cash? And how long can he carry on being Mr Nice Guy?

I hope the SFA and their ugly twin have finally learned a harsh lesson here .

IMO the panel tried to let the cheats off lightly rather than pass the correct sanction and look what they got for their troubles .

Glennie sent it back and said apply your rules as the rules state .We have been crying out for this to be done with ragers for decades .

I see the RFF are finally waking up to CG loan scheme ,better late than never ,whilst they were funding a futile appeal it seems this faceless bunch are about to waltz in and pull the rug from under them .

Expect to see some strange goings on now that the players are back on full pay ,we all expect a mass exodus ,I’m not so sure .I wonder how much is left in the CVA pot for CVA running costs .It seems it will not cost CG but then again D&D have never really told the poor creditors how much they will be given anyway so what’s the harm .
