As six Celtic fans face the prospect of months in a Dutch jail if police evidence is preferred, take a look at this CCTV video from the Euro Pub in Dam Square:
This is no more than the strong bullying the vulnerable. It is shocking and affected more than just Celtic fans, other innocent bystanders were picked on.
What can you do about it? We’re looking for around 40 more bucketeers to collect before the Aberdeen game on Saturday for the legal defence of the six Celtic fans. You’ll need to get to the stadium a bit early, bucket shaking will be required. That’s all.
If you can help, email dambhoys8@yahoo.co.uk for more information. You’ll enjoy it.
Thank you.
Remember the Q&A in the Columba Club, Blantyre, tomorrow. I’ll be there with Phil Mac Giolla Bhain and Paul McConville. Tickets available at the door, we get underway at 8pm. See you there.
If you have not been to Celtic Park since the last home game, be prepared for pandemonium around London Road on Saturday. No one will be able to walk or drive from London Road up Kerrydale Street to the Park. Check out the open routes here and get there early.

I thought it might happen to save face. If what the judge said about a fair trial is true, everything is going to come out now.
The job the prosecutor will have is to justify the levels of violence.

Lawyer says riot police officer try to attack colleagues because he does not realise that it was police too.

Jude – from the Celtic Trust website:
Fans Against Criminalisation have agreed, with the consent of the families, to set up a fund which will be used to assist those Celtic supporters who were beaten, wrongly arrested, falsely accused and remain targets of the Dutch judicial system. We have a pre-existing legal defence fund which contains funds donated to assist fans caught up in the Offensive Behaviour Act. Those funds will be ring-fenced and any donations between now and the close of this appeal will be used to assist those supporters caught up in terrible events in Amsterdam. We do not know, at this stage, how much will be needed, but any amounts donated will be disbursed to the two supporters currently in prison in Amsterdam and those who will have to return there for trial on 21 November. Any monies left over after their expenses have been met will be transferred to the FAC Legal Defence Fund unless donors specifically ask for them to be returned. The Fund will be administered by FAC which is made up of the Celtic Supporters’ Association, the Affiliation of Registered Celtic Supporters Clubs, the Association of Irish Celtic Supporters Clubs, the Celtic Trust and the Green Brigade.
How to Donate
1. Pay money into the FAC account via your bank or by electronic transfer:
Account Name: FAC Legal Defence Fund
Sort Code: 83-21-27
Account Number: 11119109
2. Pay by Paypal using the Donate button on the site of the Celtic Trust, The CSA or the Green Brigade, however if you use this method please make sure you make it clear that the money is a donation and it is for the Amsterdam Fund. This money will be transferred to the FAC account.

Incredible. Hope he was successful.

The bhoys’ lawyer says there was police-on-police violence too, because the riot police did not know the plain-clothes officers were police.
The prosecutor said earlier that the plain-clothes mob were unable to show their ID, as they are required to do, because of the chaos and violence, but that they had identified themselves by shouting out that they were the police.

Kerem Canatan @strafzaken now
According to police the violence used is not on the video because a police van was blocking the view(how convenient, my emphasis)
Kerem Canatan @strafzaken 25s
Prosecutor says the violence was not taped.

The police say they would have been able to show more violence on the part of Celtic fans but that “a police van was blocking the view”.

Correct, and there is no way ANY of the Celtic Supporters were behaving violently …… They were trying to get away from the marauding Police casuals, as anyone would……..once the judge sees those videos, he will have clear evidence of the Police behaviour…..
great news for wee Oscar ……his wee smile is just braw….
So the court sees the police laying into the Celtic fans. The prosecutor’s remark is that this shows “suspects were not co-operating”.
Kerem Canatan @strafzaken 19s
According to lawyer one of the officers had typical hooligan clothing

Kerem Canatan @strafzaken 1m
Lawyer says if the prosecutor says that the arrest were lawful why is this an attempt to influence?
Kerem Canatan @strafzaken 9s
Prosecutor says no proof that Celtic fan was overrun by police van.
Kerem Canatan @strafzaken 6s
Footage finished.
There is a specific claim that one Celtic fan was run over by a police fan. The prosecutor has jumped on this and claimed that there is no proof of this incident.
That’s the end of that footage.

Didn’t really mix with many of the ‘loyal’, a couple or three of them were ok……..Jimmy, Craig and Graeme but I wasn’t too popular with the rest…….. Can’t place a Paul but like I said they drank in their gaff and we drank in ‘The Dubs’…….
Liked downtown Deira; the earthiness was better than the plastic facade that was Dubai……..

Yes there is. The guy’s wife will be holding a bucket on Saturday.
His leg was broken in 3 places.
I’m a complete amateur, but the Amsterdam police seem to have made a number of basic mistakes here. There was a document earlier that did not have the necessary signature on it. Now that the judge is looking that the cases of the six one by one, the first Celtic fan is said, by the police to have resisted arrest, but the judge looks at the case file and says: “He has not been accused of resisting arrest, but of violence.”
Free our 6 brothers now and stop this charade.
I hope we fill the buckets on Saturday bhoys and Ghirls.
If you can take a bucket on Saturday please do.
