The frustration at the news Derk Boerrigter is injured, again, and will miss another important Champions League game, is enormous. Derk was a big part of our summer signing strategy but he came with a caveat concerning his propensity to suffer injury.
We have seen only flashes of him since he joined from Ajax in the summer. His opportunities to exploit his undoubted speed in SPFL games will be limited by opponents tendency to defend deep, denying him space to run into, making Champions League games all the more important to his season.
Our other pace player, James Forrest, will surely come into sharp focus for the visit of Ajax on Tuesday.
I see Alasdair Johnston is expressing concern that Our Hero is still pulling the strings at Ibrox! I never thought of that!
Let’s see…. He is a director of Sevco 5088 Ltd, the firm which had an irrevocable right to buy the assets of liquidated Rangers, he issued a pre-action letter to exercise those rights, there was in independent ‘inquiry’ which completely failed to investigate control of Sevco 5088 Ltd, then he went quiet. Why are we always a day behind the news?
Does that mean he got bored and went away, or is he conducting his business in private? I am sure it’s the latter but Craig Whyte is the least of Johnston’s concerns when it comes to who is able to pull strings at Ibrox. All the action is offstage.
Speaking about what is happening offstage, whenever Rangers International’s advisers confirm how the company can appoint sufficient executives to be compliant with AIM requirements, they will need a new chief executive.
Going by recent (and not so recent) trends they will need someone with their snout constantly in the trough, with impeccable Rangers credentials, with their snout constantly in the trough, who is currently available for work, with their snout constantly in the trough, who has previously worked in the game and with their snout constantly in the trough.
If only they could find another genuine fan who would be prepared to do whatever necessary in return for a remarkable contract. Can’t think of anyone.
Wait a minute………
Thanks to everyone who participated in Show Your Hand yesterday.

Definition of Sevco
“Some other people, with some other people’s money, who set up some other company, who set up some other company again, who then set up some other football team, under some other agreement, with some other league, in some other division, who just happen to wear a similar kind of strip, and have a similar kind of name, to the dead club who previously played in Govan”
There’s not a team like the Glasgow Rangers.
No not one, and there never shall be one.
(That’s right cos they’re deid that’s how.)
So the Tampon is still injured

Hmmmmmmm
I think they need a bigger trough mate, even though the one they have is bare.
Thoughts with Tallybhoy today. God bless. HH
OK admit it, which if any of the first 3 of ye read the article.
Ole Sick note out again :-(
Paul
what if they can get someone who doesnt have his snout in the trough but has his hand in the till
will that do instead?
Paul67:
Derk worries me. However, I have seen a glimpse of what he can bring to the side but would appear to be only suitable in playing at Celtic Park. He is an enigma.
On our Hero, Mmmm…has he really gone away, time will tell but personally I think he is like Geppetto, the Puppet-Maker…who will be the first to stand up and sing the Pinnocchio classic…I’ve got no strings to tie me down…
Keep the Faith!
Hail Hail!
Will someone put their foot in the water to see in they can get their snout in the trough while having their hand in the till?
Modren summer signing strategy which came with a caveat concerning his propensity to suffer injury is rubbish.
I declare TSOAL as the Podium Champion for today, to win the prize your post has to indicate that at least you had a wee glimpse at the article.
St. John Doyle:
Ghuys, I will be popping over with the tickets for the Ryan Clan this afternoon. I will pass on your best to them all.

I have to confess I did not read the article first, saw the headlines and shot at the goal…no excuses but I have a few days off and a bit bored, although I have less than 48 hours until I see the Bhoys in action…:)

Anyone who thinks someone will dip their toe in the water to see if they can stick their snout in the trough or get their hands stuck in the till, must have their head in the sand!
Sorry!
HH
Sadly it’s not just Derk- our other signing with a poor injury record [Moyokolo] is off oot as well.
I’ll be passing go an road later today, hope I don’t get caught at a red light and offered a directorship due to residing in ML9
I must confess, I have no idea who Paul is alluding to in the main article.
Can anyone spell it our for me?
Craig’s in his castle – top room of the turret – with his pointy hat on, cackling wildy as he gazes at the scene inside the water of the trough on the table in front of him…….he’s about to dip his snout back in.
Stringer
I thought he meant Campbell Ogilvie but , like yourself, I need it to be spelled out for me 0:-)

Anyone who thinks someone will dip their toe in the water to see if they can stick their snout in the trough or get their hands stuck in the till, must have their head in the sand!

Geppetto and Pinocchio were taken in by Monstro, Pinocchio lit a fire in the belly and they all lived happily ever after. Question is, will this Fairytale end the same way…time will tell.

Sadly poor Derk is injured, no comments are made to the crude challenge that injured him in the first place, a game were he was destroying the opposition he was ‘taken out’ no foul no penalty…. were have I seen that before Agate….Matthews quickly spring to mind.
I’m not 100% sure who you mean Paul………have one question though can a declared bankrupt become CEO? Apparently one of the peoples preferences….
Roll on game on Saturday hoping for another 3 pts…..no injuries then Ajax game will take care of itself. Anyone know who the impartial referee is this week?
Hail Hail
tamrabam, that’ll do.
Lennybhoy, agree.
jc2, he’s already there.
Agent Craig, I see where you’re coming from!!!
