The frustration at the news Derk Boerrigter is injured, again, and will miss another important Champions League game, is enormous. Derk was a big part of our summer signing strategy but he came with a caveat concerning his propensity to suffer injury.
We have seen only flashes of him since he joined from Ajax in the summer. His opportunities to exploit his undoubted speed in SPFL games will be limited by opponents tendency to defend deep, denying him space to run into, making Champions League games all the more important to his season.
Our other pace player, James Forrest, will surely come into sharp focus for the visit of Ajax on Tuesday.
I see Alasdair Johnston is expressing concern that Our Hero is still pulling the strings at Ibrox! I never thought of that!
Let’s see…. He is a director of Sevco 5088 Ltd, the firm which had an irrevocable right to buy the assets of liquidated Rangers, he issued a pre-action letter to exercise those rights, there was in independent ‘inquiry’ which completely failed to investigate control of Sevco 5088 Ltd, then he went quiet. Why are we always a day behind the news?
Does that mean he got bored and went away, or is he conducting his business in private? I am sure it’s the latter but Craig Whyte is the least of Johnston’s concerns when it comes to who is able to pull strings at Ibrox. All the action is offstage.
Speaking about what is happening offstage, whenever Rangers International’s advisers confirm how the company can appoint sufficient executives to be compliant with AIM requirements, they will need a new chief executive.
Going by recent (and not so recent) trends they will need someone with their snout constantly in the trough, with impeccable Rangers credentials, with their snout constantly in the trough, who is currently available for work, with their snout constantly in the trough, who has previously worked in the game and with their snout constantly in the trough.
If only they could find another genuine fan who would be prepared to do whatever necessary in return for a remarkable contract. Can’t think of anyone.
Wait a minute………
Thanks to everyone who participated in Show Your Hand yesterday.

Perhaps having published it, it is Paul who will require good lawyer.
Glasgow City ( Women`s Team) leading Standard Liege by 3-0 at Petershill Park. Hope that` s an omen for Tuesday.

You have mail.
Master HdP’s season update. We have lost three first team starters and replaced them with one. Not progress in his mind although he considers VVD to be much better than KW .
Is this the CQN witching hour or what?
The nightshift moonhowling is perfectly sensible in comparison to this carry on.

Why would the McCanns continue to draw attention to the case if they did something ?
I believe the family were guilty of bad parenting by leaving their kids alone, no matter how brief the intervals. That said, I’m sure they’ve tortured themselves thinking about that night. These rumours about them are at best distasteful.

If it is on You Tube, does that not make it legal? ie it would have been withdrawn otherwise?
19LISBONBHOY67
Some serious allegations in the article, which I presume are lifted from the book you reference.
Just as a matter of interest, bearing in mind the press treatment of Gordon Brown,I reckon that if there had been a shred of evidence linking him to the case,it would have been shouted from the rooftops.
I find the whole ongoing discussion about the topic distasteful, and I hope that Maddie is found alive and well, allowing the whole family to reclaim their lives.
My one and only comment, you will all be pleased to know.
I mentioned Derk and Myokolou’s (SPL) injury record as soon as we signed them.
Many shot me down in flames for not giving them a chance in a Celtic shirt.
Well both have missed our most important matches of the season.
Derk was an expensive purchase .
He wasn’t bought to win the SPL.
We will win it without him.
A total waste if millions of pounds.
Not the board or PL’s fault.
The scouts and Kenny are to blame.
Never mind Balde is one for the future.
It’s not as if we need a goalscorer now.
Played 2 Goals scored 0 in the CL.
Say’s it all.
Virgil looks great , the rest are a waste of money.
A very poor return on our summer spend.

To be clear, I am not supporting the allegation (?), simply asking about the legality of its appearance on here.
I have absolutely no knowledge of the laws governing cyber space.
Quonno, others can consider that.
May I thank Tallybhoy for answering my question about his late father. God rest his soul.

For some reason I am not surprised that Boerrigter is permanently injured
There was comment from Ajax fans suggesting he was injured quite a bit
He lasted 30 mins on his debut
I may have proceeded on a false premis ……he’s isn’t doing much to dispel my initial feeling
To date he has been a poor signing for us and contributed nothing …looks soft and hasn’t shown any of the lightening pace he is supposed to have
Very underwhelmed
quonno,
Thanks.
I`m offsky,
JJ
Good evening friends,
This might be an occasion when I should have scrolled back first rather than coming on all virgin-like but looking good for ole Glasgow City in the Champions League.
Time for a scroll back ;-)
Lennybhoy
Always had my suspicions about him :-)
Dearie me
We’ve gone way past the full moon end of the transfer window now.
A new low.
19LisbonBhoy67 is praying for wee Oscar Knox
Gordon Brown will probably, well more than probably, almost certainly be a Mason.
A son of the manse from Fife makes it likely he would have joined and his rise to the top in Fife Labour which is a hotbed of freemasonry makes it almost a certainty.
I have been told by Mason friends that he is and Henry McLeish and all the top Labour Party politicians are/were.
His election agent, Alex Rowley is not and is also an RC, which saw him lose what most people thought was a shoo-in for the seat that was eventualy gifted to John McDougal who was a Mason.
Rowley was annointed by Brown, but the wily McDougal used a sectarian scare tactic combined with Masonic loyalty of the Labour party Fifers to beat Rowley.
Rowley is still in local politics, but he would have made a much better MP than the late John McDougal who was a nice, but hapless chap, who wasn’t up to it, but was given the golden handshake.

I think discussion of the McCanns situation should be halted right away.
Mods ?
PF AYR
You have seen more of him than I have-I’ve not seen him at all!
Robin Van Persie was injured very frequently at Arsenal. He would break a shoelace and be out for a month.
Fergie took the gamble, and won the league. RVP was virtually ever-present.
Proves nothing, but then, stats are like that!
There is a full moon in the sky tonight.
I can hear all the wee dogs on the estate yapping, barking and howling at the moon.

……………..
Agree that is why I confined my remarks to Brown’s masonry.
DJBEE
He has been on before, not regularly, and I don’t remember his other stuff being contentious in any way. Though I could be wrong.
The blog is,by its nature, open to all sorts of topic. I think it is all the better for that.
Sometimes, though, even I have to draw the line.
With free speech comes responsibility,I suppose….
Some of the things on the web regarding the McCanns is sickening. While not approving of censorship – I hope CQN does not stoop to repeating rumours and slurs about the McCanns. I wish the family all the very best in their search for their beloved daughter. May God bless them.

Yep and tomorrow its a penumbral lunar eclipse – so CQN should be a belter :-)
When someone trails their coat you don’t have to fall for it.
I speak about the topics that I want to and try not to be drawn into areas that I may have an opinion of but little knowledge of.
I have 2 tickets to spare for the Ajax game on Tuesday night
