I’m a mug for stats and this seasons stats tell me this Ajax game is gonna be a right open affair. Although they have only grabbed a single point, and were on the end of a heavy defeat in Barca, they have created plenty. They had 9 attempts on goal in Spain, and 10 v Milan. 19 in total. We have had 17 attempts over the 2 games.
Begs the question as to how we approach it as the home team. I’d urge a bit of caution. Gung-ho may prove costly. Ajax look to create almost e very thing from midfield so broonies absence may be a sore one as he is our most aggressive midfielder and breaks up play.
