Joe Ledley is for the best part of most game’s

anonymous. He plays in our engine room, but

from what I can see, contributes very little.

I know he scored today, but did very little

afterwards. Please don’t give me sh#t about

doing the ugly side of the game. I will admit,

my pal who sit’s next to me, think’s he’s

    a player.

Can I suggest a wee visit to your optician….

  5. Chuckles was offered the stripping of five titles because they knew their defence was non existent. Chuckles, being chuckles knocked them back. LNS wasn’t brought in to give an unbiased ruling. He was brought in for damage limitation. Decided it was a hopeless case but just decided to brass- neck it anyway. Result!. CO will “retire” soon, and we’ll all live happily ever after. Time to move on. The end.

  6. Valentine’s Day

So nobody took you on and now you’re going to talk to yourself and slag the player off, okay…

Did you hate Tommy Callaghan as well??

    Are you one of Kojo’s??

My post was lighthearted. No objections from me and I would describe myself as being sympathetic rather than a committed supporter of Republicanism. Your post was interesting. Enough for me on a site that has a mixture of views.

How many goats were sacrificed in the reaching of LNS’s verdict? And I demand to know their names…

  11. jimbo67,

No problem. I’m not here to persuade or change people’s views. I have been on this blog from 2004, and the prison diary is posted on a ‘take or leave it’ basis.

  12. Rieperman,

Yes there is lots to look at. I don’t think remembering someone is regressive though. Each to their own.

    Hail hail,

  13. Joe Ledley fills the gaps, covers the spaces, is the blur on the vision of the opposition player glancing up to pick a killer pass then forced to re-think his options.

    THAT’S his main job.

The reason he’s an international player is becasue he also has a bit of finesse about him, is able to link up play and frequently makes perfectly-timed runs into the box resulting in a fair goals tally, and crucial goals at that.

With Ledly fit and on-form our midfield functions at a higher level – players like Vic and Commons get the few seconds extra time on the ball they need to do damage, the confidence to push forward more. If you cannot appreciate Ledley’s qualities and how much he adds to the team performance as a whole you need to quit watching ‘soccer’.

Also – well done to the Hoops today; difficult tie, notihng to gain, plenty of ‘unacceptables’ ready and willing to condemn. Priority, getting through to the semis without serious injury. Job done. Another day out to look forward to.

Also, Californication is the finest adult comedy drama ever made.

  14. thetimrieper on

As far as i know you have to enter the scottish cup, if thats the case

all fans of spl clubs should lobby theyr`e club not to enter next year,

and instead set up their own competition.

As we know sky/espn have no morals and you can bet that they

would ditch the coverage of the scottish cup and would want

to televise the spl teams cup which could be called The Sporting

Integrity Cup. William Hill would also want out of their sponsorship

deal. SFA will then become a non-entity in control of a 4th tier cup.

Referees could be brought in from abroad, its happened before.

    Hail Hail

Confession time re The Top Cat. Lovely guy, great Celt , went to my church when I lived in the Briggs, got tore in about Atletico after the match, scored a cracker at Ibrox on my first visit (and tenth birthday) and scored against Basle in the Quarter Final to level the tie. But I still booed him when he got brought on against Morton in 75 when I wanted Sean Fallon to bring on Brian McLaughlin.

I was always a bit of an idiot mind you

Always enjoyed your historical postings, keep it up.

As regards the toilet duck debate my ducks always green :)

  21. Regan’s comments about “moving on” are the final insult.

Honestly, is there a more compromised, less effective, and hideously unimpressive CEO of any organisation, anywhere, in the world?

The most terrifying thought for me is that, were it not for an unprecedented unity amongst Scottish fans last year, the Huns would be in the SPL having successfully dumped tens of millions of debt, and liquidated themselves with almost no footballing consequences.

They almost – almost got away with it. Indeed, arguably the man who prevented the biggest scam in the history of football completely succeeding, was Sally. Win even one of those pishy Euro games and Whyte would have been able to dictate the timing of administration…

What should Celtic’s response be? If we accept this, we may as well take our seats at the back of the bus again.

But any response I suspect will not be welcomed by UEFA. I do not detect any outrage at a European level, sadly.

    That, I suspect, is that.

So it looks like Reagan, ogilvie et al are expecting to continue in a job after this.

    No f&£in way.

It’s up to us to stop this. Do we have a central forum where we can express our views?

Are the csa etc mobilising against this?

I’ve given up on the board taking action. How do we make our voices heard?

Just reading Ed Moloneys book “Voice from the Graves” interview with Brendan Hughes and David Erskine, very interesting stuff

Doesnt portray the bearded wonder in a great light.

Anyway I just putting the book down after reading some fairly harrowing stuff about the prison protest when I logged on here to read your extract from the Sands diary.

Have you read Moloneys book,If so,what did you think

You don’t like Joe fair enough to each their own, no need to labour the point everybody except Gordon Dalziel got it.

  26. ElDiegoBhoy/prestonpans bhoys,

    Thanks

I’m a way to feed the boys and watch the football.

  27. Ard Maca, I understand why some people on here feel uncomfortable with debate and mention of Irish Republican issues, but the reality is the vast majority (not all) of committed Irish Celtic Supporters are also very sympathetic to Irish Republicanism. It just seems to hand in hand with us. Re The Bobby Sands Diary, I was priviliged to get a tour of the H-Blocks and a detailed account of what happened, it was absolutely chilling. I stood in the cell that Bobby died in. It was only feet from the room where various dignataries were interviewed on TV during the Hunger Strike. All in all a memorable but haunting experience.

  28. If Regan gets his way and this is the end of all this football is finished in Scotland at professional level the masons will have won

    Boycott what though?

It’s clear that the only thing that matters is the sfa to survive in its current state. Sevco and it’s bullies are vital to this.

Celtic and other teams are seen as collateral. In fact, a weakened celtic would strengthen their grip on the game.
