    foghorn leghorn

I see in my crystal ball lots of running and crosses going way beyond everyone and shooting when 9 men are waiting for a tap in and St Mirren tearing up the field and Stokes & Izzy are nowhere to be seen, only kiddin, honest! por cierto

i wish you would stop giving izzy your own personal team talk before games

he carries out your instructions to the letter :-(

  3. On route to Paisley. Like the look of our team today. John Guidetti to become a Celtic hero with a hat trick.

  4. foghorn leghorn

will the izzy – stokes combo work on a smaller pitch where there will be less room for them to run and put the ball into?

Good point – away v St Mirren does neither of them any favours.

Commons likes it there (shame he’s injured).

Van Dijk, Brown – both will relish St Mirren Park.

  5. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Marrakesh, further to your post about the nazi symbols chalked on the road near the Linn Cemetry.

One of the companies there is owned by a Jewish family. I pray the symbols haven’t been drawn there have been aimed at the company.

In today’s game, let’s do it to them before they do it us.

    Mon the hoops

  6. My friends in Celtic,

Only an observation : The amount of injuries is concerning and we haven’t even hit the added hazards of winter.

    HH.

  7. Scepovic needs game time. Since Guidetti can’t play on Thursday night today’s game would have been a good opportunity.

Irrespective of favourites or format this game is very similar to Dundee and St Johnstone away. RD plays the same team set up, and on paper at least, Celtic should win this match, – anything less is continuing failure. I don’t expect it to be pretty, and St Mirren Park is very tight, lets hope Thompson doesn’t feature, and Celtic find the net early, the way we used to.

You are probably onto something but could you imagine the tears on here if a goalscorer was dropped for Scepovic. Yikes :)

  10. EOGHAN O’Connell will start in defence for Celtic in today’s lunchtime clash with St Mirren.

The Irish centre-half was a half-time substitute against Hearts in the midweek League Cup match but will partner Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the Hoops rearguard from kick-off today.

Ghanaian winger Mubarak Wakaso will also make his SPFL debut as part of an attacking midfield trio alongside Callum McGregor and Anthony Stokes. John Guidetti will lead the line up front.

    Today’s team:

CELTIC (4-2-3-1) Gordon; Ambrose, van Dijk, O’Connell, Izaguirre; Brown, Johansen; Wakaso, McGregor, Stokes; Guidetti.

Subs: Zaluska, Fisher, Bitton, Kayal, Berget, Scepovic, Tonev.

Good to see Fisher on the bench. The lad has been out for too long.

    Johnny Divers .

I too watched Johnny Divers . He was a good player in what was often a very poor team..The vicissitudes of my scrambled memory include him playing for the Jags v Celtic at Celtic Park @ Christmas 1966 . Celtic scored 6 that day . . Johnny Divers played centre forward for the Jags and did zilch. Horrible cold wet day . I had bought my mother Bobby Darin s -If I was a Carpenter 7″ for Christmas and was worried it would get wet.!

  13. Good morning from a bright, warm and sunny eastern seaboard.

Temps today forecast to hit 83 in old money, 28 in the new fangled French system

  14. Tabloid TV at it’s worse. Spanner saying KC left out. Walker then says he’s got an injury, but they have left him out in other games.

  17. Keevins in full on anti Celtic mode … referring to Ronnie Deila as Ronnie rotation … before he knew that Commons was injured
