  1. Guidetti makes so many good runs but no one capable of picking out a pass. Frustrated for the Swede.

    Groundhog Day

We stumble over the line against one of the worst teams in the league

    Same disjointed shapeless crap

Scattergun team selections and haphazard substitutions

No reasons for optimism …this malaise will continue until the big decision is taken

  3. A hard fought win. Always good to grind those out. Builds character and experience.

Two players on the park today…. Jury still out on one. The other I’ve made my mind up. He can go ASAP.

Lack of creation in midfield is glaringly obvious to everyone apart from the management team?

  5. FT.

Deserved win, everybody worked hard but once gain our weaknesses were highlighted, nothing new there. O’Connell, VVD, Izzy and Guidetti vying for Celtic MOM.

Ronni should have changed the shape earlier when it was clear how St. Mirren were lined up.

I like Wakaso and his attitude and should be in the team every week. Still to many players not up for the “battle” and hold back, if we’re going to be successful we have to have players who are prepared to take a knock or three.

  6. Good result but this is a team in name only. What were the tactics? The midfield was either stimied or overpowered by numbers. The attacking consists of JG and the overlaps of Izzy. McGregor needs a rest now. SS is a penalty box striker but there is nobody to play his kind of ball into the box.

The defence is unsure. VVG is playing out his time at Celtic.Good performance by young O’Connel.

All of this against a poor team who had nothing to offer except youthful running and some robust challenges.

I fear the worst when we face a half decent team, starting this thursday.

I know where the real problem lies, agreed?

Goal of the season at Anfield for Toffees. Reminds me of Graeme Sharpe’s (former Dumbarton FC) goal all those years ago.

Phil Jagielka, the scorer, of all people.

  8. Just finished watching the game.

    Well done Celtic.

Hard fought 2-1 win away from home.

Absolutely gobsmacked at some of the comments i have seen so far.

Some of you lot are acting just like huns.

The entitlement ome of you clearly feel, is leading to a belief that Celtic should just turn up, score 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 goals, urinating all over the supposed opponents while smoking a cigar in the process.

Another building block for Ronny Delia’s team put down.

    I am happy :)

Id play O Connell at RB and move Efe mmmmmmmmmmm?? Ill get back to you on that one!!

Wakaso being lauded for trying hard ….is this where we’ve got to …praising CFC players for what should be a minimum requirement

  11. So, the Celtic first goal. Did Goodwin not bring down Guidetti? And although he didn’t deny an obvious goalscoring opportunity, because we scored, it should still have been a yellow. Similarly when Guidetti got tackled by two St Mirren players, one of them one the ball, the other, Goodwin, brought Guidetti down from behind. Should have been a penalty and a yellow.

Just trying to paper over some cracks.

  12. Is Guidetti on a loan with an option to buy? Need him signed up, movement and energy in abundance. Will score loads for Celtic.

I feel scepovic is in desperate need of a goal to settle him down

    Dushanbe,

That is really eerie..I was about to post the exact same.

    Screamer by Jagielka.

Well done to Everton rescuing a point.

Always good to win when your not playing well.

Difference when we went 2 up front with Stokes setting Guidetti up for the winner.

Bless me father for I have sinned. Fell asleep during a Celtic match…

    Thunder Road

    Cut out the Hun crap

Building block …not for me ….same crap different game

    Opinions mate …..

  16. Thunder Road

I know what you mean. But then when you look at the players at Celtic s disposal we should be creating a lot more ? Some of the criticism is justified.

  17. No option to Buy Guidetti but he is out of contract at end of season and should be available to sign on a Bosman at Christmas.

  18. MCCANN.how does he visit his parents and family.saints player fell down with nobody near him.”could be a stud in the knee.”could be a knife in the ribs or a dart from the crowd in his. eye.

JG got pulled doen in box.2 saints players went to him.first saints player clears ball 2nd saints player CLEARS JG from behind.”great tackle “says McCann.not a mention of tackle.

WAKASO gets fouled running down wing.rolls about on ground.no mention of stud in knee there.?????

Celtics first goal.JG again gets his feet taken by saints captain Goodwin.ball goes into net.but it was a penalty tacle and he was last man.goal and red card.again not a mention.

wonder if he goes to mass on Saturday night or sunday morning.wonder if his DA sits beside him.

Great three points for Celtic in another dire SPL game, in fairness against some hefty hammer throwers, and no protection.

Two scrappy one very, goals see Celtic edge home, with a side that look bereft and clueless, and in an ever changing system that made McGregor Stokes, Wakaso, dizzy with the switching.

No midfield general, no class, just green grass, massive gaps, and up an at em, mayhem football that even lowly scoreless St.Mirren managed to breach.

More changes guaranteed ahead of Zagreb, and painful to watch even if you believe it’s really called, transition.

    M.O.M Guidetti

  20. Good for you Thunder Road! I was relying on radio and it wasn`t easy to listen to. Steven Thompson perked up when Berget replaced Stokes. :-)

  21. Regards Guidetti the danger is some of the diddies in the EPL will be in for him offering loads of money.

If you have just bought a Hamilton ticket ask yourself this…..

Do I dislike anyone so much so that I would ask them if they want the free ticket?

    Horrendous lack of entertainment.

There’s more than a few impostors in that team.

  23. Pfayr – yes. There’s something not quite happening with the team on the pitch right now and that makes it especially difficult as we all think we know how much better we should be – or at least that’s the vibe that us armchair supporters seem to generate. I will praise any player who fully commits themself as nowadays we often don’t see that commitment when other players heads seem to be down or not in the game. I will always praise someone for showing their true positive colours, wouldn’t you?

  24. Steinreignedsupreme on

Say what you like about Craig Thomson – he likes to let the play flow when Celtic players are getting the shit kicked out them.

  25. jude2005 is Neil Lennon \o/ on

I wish Izzzy wd have a go when gets into the box. Always looking for the lay off. Have word Ronny.

  26. The mark of champions is that they win when playing poorly.

    We did both today.

The only consolation, apart from the three points, is that when we lift the league trophy in the Spring this game will not be remembered.

In fact it will not be remembered by Monday.

  27. ‘ Poor performance’.

    ‘ Rank Rotten.’

    Etcetera,…excetera.

    BOLLOX !

Not hard to spot the guys who have not followed Glasgow Celtic through good days & bad.

Today’s perfomance was ordinary, but sufficient, in a nervy & physical scrap.

Today’s RESULT is a thing of joy at a time when we are struggling.

    Onwards & upwards.

There are no ‘bad’ ways of winning.
